Thankfully for my Knees and Will's Back Will is usually the agressor and the one who likes knees - Gav gets too hot when sharing people's body heat - not suprising really. It's great to see Will escape Gavs "SLAMS" - He's really quite Agile for an "old man" :D.

ps Will Starts it - Gav finishes it but can only sprint after Will for about 4 seconds before he needs a "lay down" rest - Which is when Will strikes again :D

not exactly on topic but how about a pair of ferrets- personality wise like a cross between cats and dogs -as social as dogs with people but play like cats
neighbours tend to be less upset by them as well
easy to train to walk on the lead if thats your thing
heres some i saw earlier

^^^We used to have a woodwork teacher who kept Ferrets and quite often he'd bring one to school and teach us with the tike poking out his jacket pocket :D

I'd say definetely two. We've just recently got a kitten (she's now 11 weeks) and introduced her to our 18 month old cat. Was a bit unsure at first, but now they tumble round the house chasing each other for hours on end!! I'd say its a lot better to have two, much better company for each other i think.

The only problem is, is that the younger one hasnt quite grasped the idea that when the older one wants a bit of piece and quite that she has to leave her alone!! Otherwise all hell breaks loose!!

Get another one!! If they're from the same litter, they'll be fine.
We got a second one 2 years after the first one. They tolerate eachother fine and will sleep on the same bed (usually ours) at the same time.
We'll see just how well they do get on after a week in a cattery in a double pen thingy;)

And yes, agree with CrisPDuk - its amazing how much noise two cats can make thundering up and down stairs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We used to have two and one of them died a couple of years ago. The other one always used to give her a good bat occasionally to let her know who was master but as soon as she died it was obvious that he really missed her. We often see him sitting by her grave.

I think you will find they will both be happier with each other's company. I used to get them sitting on my lap side by side sometimes!
