They pickup the rpm signal from the spikes in the battery baseline voltage on cars with coil-on-plug systems such as the newage cars. It's no diferent than using a pickup on the spark plug lead in terms of how power and torque are measured, which is via the load cells in the dyno. BHP is a calculation based on torque, not the other way round.

Terrific figures......


Rolling roads vary, temperatures may vary which greatly affect results, but those outputs look very high for an unmodded WR1.

dunno m8 hopefully I was told by the dealer it was around 320 ish bhp!!!

I hope it is and it certainly is faster than a WR1 and an evo that I tested for a day back to back!!!!
