Jacko,
I also have a mondeo (green with beige interior but it runs well) and im scoobless until the near future (my last one sold for 12k this week :D so tough cheese those who didnt buy her cos she was worth every penny!) My new toy will be in my possession very shortly ;):D:D:D:D:D:D Tony:D PS i need a friday job, anyone got any suggestions? ;) |
I moved from a mildly modded p1 to :
http://www.tinsta.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/m5/rq.jpg still would get another p1 and go for the 400 barrier :D |
I have just got the YRV 130Turbo :D
Good old FF wheel drive sliding :D |
... I bet the YRV is hilarious as its so light and no-one knows what it is ? If Toyota launched a Turbo 4x4 Yaris (same basic bits?) I bet it would be £4000 more expensive !

went from my WRX back to the old trusty Datsun again.

Former new My95/MY2000/Bugeye owner.
Now got: Mercedes SL500 (w129 shape) Peugeot 205GTi 1.9 VW Golf GTi 8v Mk2 Ford Capri 2.8 Injection Nissan S-Cargo Why? The above lot cost me way less than the price of a new Bugeye. I now own a car that covers ALL occasions: the Merc is a wonderful machine, does the summer soft-top pose bit, and will be perfect for weekends away to the south of France. Its quick (V8, 330break), refined, comfy, quiet, and engineered like no other Merc before or since. My Pug is a great example, and still sets the hot hatch standard in terms of pure knife edge handling and fun. Sorry all you Seat or Civic owners, but no lardy modern hot hatch comes close. The Golf is probably the most complete car ever made. Mine is my daily driver, and it's worth nothing: I've bought dearer rounds in the pub. It gets abused, filled full of building materials and sh1t, driven hard. Yet STILL it goes well, rattle and squeak free. Never misses a beat. I have spent £0.00 on repairs this year. The Capri is as new, stored in a carcoon, and kept for sentimental reasons. When it sees daylight, it's good, old fashioned RWD V6 FUN. The S-Cargo is pure madness. So handy, so easy to drive. Loads of room. EVERYONE stares or makes a comment. Its so different, and it's so much fun. The combined insurance for all 5 is LESS than I was paying on the Bugeye. All are fully comp, on classic policies. Depreciation. The whole lot owes me around £19k. I would wager that the whole lot will be worth a similar amount in 2 years time. The Merc and the S-Cargo were bargains, the Capri and Pug are surely appreciating classics, and ANY running Mk2 GTi with an MOT is worth £500. A 2 year old Bugeye would be worth around 12k. Only downside is 5 tax discs, and having the room to park 'em all. |
lmfao nah give away
i am just shy about revealing my inner child [read har its funny winding up locals by not revealing wot car i got en route ;) pmsl Si |

Had to sell the Scoob due to my wife's back problems.
We settled on a compromise of sport and comfort and I bought an Alfa 156 selespeed Veloce. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/logiclee/156newSmall.jpg Lorraine still had problems with long trips in the Alfa so I now own the most comfortable car we could find. Complete with pipe and slippers. Rover 75 2.5V6 ClubSE http://homepage.ntlworld.com/logiclee/roverosf.JPG Also owned for the last 5 years a Skoda Felicia Diesel town and shopping run about. Still got to source a track day toy out in the spring. :) Lee [Edited by logiclee - 12/20/2003 9:25:49 AM] |

I have one of these :)
It has certainly shocked a few mates with Scoobies  http://server5.uploadit.org/files2/201203-Clio172.jpg |

This is well interesting seeing all them.
Why have some people changed, is it due to running costs???? And i notice, most of them are sensible.? Didnt anyone want another fast car, with the exception of some. |
