No, the transmition system doesnt work like that. On a VC centre diff equipped Impreza dumping the clutch is going to give the torque equally to front and rear.

To get a VC equipped car into a donut the best method is to use weight transfer to start the rotation and then floor the throttle to get all 4 wheels spinning, giving you a tight donut. If you try and start a donut by other methods you just end up making a big circle as you describe.

It's a pity i dont have the footage from Catalunya because it shows well how a P1 with the regular driver couldnt get it to donut, but when i jumped in it and started the donut with a lot of weight transfer it just sat on the same spot going round instantly, with no need to abuse the clutch.

as for wieght transfer, how would u achieve this on wet slippery grass for instance?

same as on tarmac but at a slower speed. :D

Bit of a pendulem turn with a dab on the handbrake.

ive just watched a DVD my brother leant me, its the high octane 2 disc

it was free with one of the maxyp type mags, although its not made by them

bloke with a evo2 is doing doughnuts, drops the clutch and holds full lock and its away round, bloke with a brand new evo6 (it would have been new when the video was made)arrives and cant get it to spin, the bloke with the evo2 jumps in his car and "shows" him how its done, compleatly blowing the gear box to tiny pieces

that scared me
