Get a new CC with a 0% balance transfer, take out a cash advance on your existing card & transfer the balance to your new card.
Money for nothing & your chicks for free !

(Check the fees on the cash advance)

mortgage 400k

ouch!

Nicci 01 December 2003 01:59 PM

Mine is 0 too

no mortgage anymore.
dont own any credit/store cards and want to keep it that way.
Never overdrawn at the bank.
Cars always paid in cash (I save first).
No loans.

Its a shame I am part of a minority

Diesel 01 December 2003 02:01 PM

Interesting Charlie - should rea;;y plough back what I save each month to minimse interest paid even further ;)

They are on to me on the 0% CC transfers thing - have been lnocked back 3 times now... Credit record is squeaky clean too - got it out just to check! Used a Cahoot 6.8% flexi loan thing in the end.

ProperCharlie 01 December 2003 02:05 PM

i applied for a loan from northern rock, and they wanted me to sart faxing this and that - couldn't be bothered with that so i applied to cahoot instead. i thought that because i have savings with them it would be no probs. their loan calculator thing said it would be 6.8%, when i did the application it came up 9.9%, WTF? so i used savings instead.

nil loans

£49 Credit card

£6 k wifes car 3 years %free as would not give any cash discount so left it in bank

£2k CSA due to them not working out correct figures 4 years ago !!to be paid off at £10 per month % free !!!

£10 to the misses

pugoetru 01 December 2003 03:38 PM

better watch that £10 to the misses lordharding that could get out of hand :D

EddScott 01 December 2003 04:22 PM

ProperCharlie,

Northern Rock did similar to me. I asked for a 6K loan and was told on the phone it would be 6.8% but the comfirmation paperwork said 9+%

If your looking try Tesco, they say 6.8 and it is 6.8%

Looking at some here I don't feel to bad about my debt level. Although to be debt free and have a 300+ house with no mortgage would be V.Nice :0

-=Buzz=- 01 December 2003 04:26 PM

Mortgage = 70k (£337 pcm interest only)
CC = 0, no way am I EVER having one either..
Overdraft = 0
Loan for scoob = 5k outstanding at £150 pcm

thats it, but I'm sure the wife will do her best to make some more bills for Xmas :(

Puff The Magic Wagon! 01 December 2003 04:31 PM

J4CKO 01 December 2003 08:11 PM

1500 quid, thats it, overdraft

Mortgage, none (house worth 450k)!

Markus 01 December 2003 08:33 PM

thats it really, bad enough though.

paulr 01 December 2003 08:46 PM

Dont owe a single penny to anyone.

Ron Dennis once said "if you cant buy something twice, dont buy it once".
I pretty much live by that, and i wouldn't want it any other way.
