Have located where Riseley is. :)

Up the A6 and take a right somewhere after Oakley!

Hmmm...and look at that, the B660 is not that far away.

I can see a nice little drive after the meet happening. ;)

See you all at the F&H.

Lee

Gooner 03 September 2003 07:11 PM

T4molie,

Have you ever damaged your wheels?
I have 18" Bright Flitter Pro Drive wheels on my 01 WRX and have damaged 3 of them.
Have been trying for weeks to get them repaired and only just found someone who will come out and do them mobile. Pristine Alloys in Woburn Sands wanted £79 per wheel! WTF
Paintek are going to charge £110 for 3
Cheers
David

Chungster 03 September 2003 08:27 PM

Pristine has one of the best reputation in the UK for refurbing Alloy wheels though.

I was once quoted about that to have my kerbed Speedline GT-1's done by them. Decided to sell the car instead and get a Scooby! :D

Fair enough, lots of other companies who can do it for much less -Spit and Polish for example, charge only £30-£40 per wheel i think!

prodriveuk 03 September 2003 10:52 PM

pbone

Whats the update on the number of people going to the meet?

prodriveuk 03 September 2003 10:56 PM

PRISTINE wheel refurb.

I had my wheel done by the company at a cost of £60 for 1 wheel but it was well worth it, the result was perfect!!It was taken away and returned within 5 hours.

Well reccomended.

Gooner 04 September 2003 08:31 AM

I'll let you know how Paintek do, as for Pristine, fair comment, If I need then doing and Paintek are no good I will go to them on your recommendation.
Cheers

T4molie 04 September 2003 09:23 AM

Gooner,

As yet I haven't (touches the biggest f$$k off piece of wood he can find) bashed em but then I don't let the missus drive the Scoob  She sticks to her 10 y/o MX-5 with 2 ft tyre walls ;)

Andy

PS. Have just taken note of above places incase I ever need em :(

Gooner 04 September 2003 09:49 AM

My Missus doesn't like driving the Scoob, thankfully he says!
I damaged all 3 myself, and all she did was say " I told you those wheels were a waste of money". Still much better than driving her 1.25 Fiesta Zetec!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

T4molie 04 September 2003 11:39 AM

Luckily my other half appreciates the "cosmetic" mods that I had done to mine when I bought it :D

Now I just have to get her to understand why I either need to get PPP for the WRX or just upgrade to a STi8....this could take a lot of effort - she's currently on the "Why do you need more power?".

I think it's one of those what women say and what they mean, translated as "I want to settle down and have babies"

But on my wage the 2 don't go together!!

Gooner 04 September 2003 12:20 PM

T4molie, you have a problem, I am slightly luckier, my wife has two babies 14 and 16. I mentioned the PPP and got no response, so booked the car in for service and PPP at the same time, you should have seen her face when the service bill arrived! It was even better when I gotr the wheels, went in for new tyres and came out with new wheels!
HOWEVER, I dare not add any more, I have promised the house will be extended, decorated and all new furniture before Christmas, just hope I can deliver, or I will be in the S**T.

Pbone 04 September 2003 06:08 PM

Don't be alarmed if you see a couple of young lads in the car park with a tatty red 205 GTI, it's my bosses son and mate who are Scooby mad.

Scratch 04 September 2003 10:04 PM

Hey you missed of my wife (who is always up for a free lunch) :) and bump or possibly without wife who may be without bump :)

Pbone 04 September 2003 10:11 PM

There you go matey, all sorted.:D

Gooner 05 September 2003 08:06 AM

T4molie,
Paintek have done a grand job, would need a magnifying glass to see the repairs!
