Buzzer,

What is that graph showing? ISTM that it shows grams of dust trapped or passed at different air pressures. i.e. the filtration performance.

Don't we need another one showing the flow rates too?

Sorry if I'm fick and am barking up the wrong tree.

Vindaloo.

Sorry Pete (you wont get me for copyright on this will you mate ;) )

"The difference between the lines at the start is tiny (normal daily air pressure changes by up to 600 in this scale), but as they are loaded up with dust, some perform much better than others. When the line goes vertical, the filter is clogged and stopping airflow. ITG performs the best in this test, but there is a (very, very small) risk of it damaging the MAF, if not installed correctly. For this reason, we supply Green panel filters. The extra power from a good filter is very small on a standard car and only rises to 3-5bhp on a "hotship". The important thing is that the filter is providing a good stable flow of clean filtered air."

Again my personal conclusion is that the MAF sensor in the classic can be a little tempramental when subject to dust so a green filter maybe best suited to this model but post classic ie Bug Eye onwards, the ITG is probably the better bet. I'm not sure if anyone like TSL ;) has had a test carried out yet but i'm sure they will and my bet is that there will be very little between the two. Thus making it a personal decision on which model scoob you have :)

IMHO of course ;)

Buzzer, as I have said, I have seen the motec graphs (which are incredibly detailed compared with ecutek / delta dash) at TSL and the green flows best by some margin and with no risk of maf / running problems.
