You've got to admit, hanging your keys in an obvoius place has got to be the way forwards, I don't want thieving scum knocking around my house for ages getting agro looking for my keys. If they want a car and arn't prepared to leave without the keys then let em have the bloomin keys. Don't let yourself get a beating because your car is too precious!!!!

Gridlock Mikey 06 June 2003 06:45 PM

Let me guess... the same dude also said that if theres a black guy driving the car - to definately stop them as its obviously a drug dealer...
That's me buggered then

Mikey

The Zohan 06 June 2003 06:49 PM

Mikey, you might want to take a look at my reply on pg1 ;)

Gridlock Mikey 09 June 2003 08:59 AM

;)

steviep73 09 June 2003 10:19 AM

That was one comment made by one instructor to tar every police officer with the same brush is unfair.

SU3ARU 09 June 2003 10:25 AM

My sister was at Hendon last year and I dropped her off on her first day - in my MY99 with SS BB, which turned a few heads as I went roaring through the Peel Centre;) Didn't get stopped though and my sister never mentioned anything about Scooby drivers being dealers!!

guess some police have seen this, i was pulled on saturday on cruise to Brighton, they were waiting for me!!!!!

Gordo 09 June 2003 11:06 AM

lol - I had a visit from CID when I loved in Manchester who had seen the P1 outside my house and wanted to warn me about a spate of burglaries/ aggravated attacks to get the keys.

his advice? park outside someone else's house, mate ..... was getting strange looks from the neighbours for ages for parking up the road when there was clearly space outside mine! :)

Jza 09 June 2003 01:15 PM

Mikey - what - is you black ????

Can i have an ounce please next time i see you ;)

Got pulled and searched for drugs in a very upscale part of Tokyo the other day in my m8's STi 7. The officer actually had the gumption to tell me he pulled us because we are not Japanese!

#%&$#!!

EvilBevel 09 June 2003 04:13 PM

Of course we are all drug dealers !

How else would we pay for all that modding malarchy ;)

It's that or IT, so if you have one ounce of selfrespect left, you go for the drugs :D

Oh, and stickered up Scoobs are even worse ! 50 kilo's per week at least

Madjay 09 June 2003 05:01 PM

i know of two money lenders/drug loads that own subaru's and very flashy ones at that. nice fellows like but dont like what they are at.
anyway arent the police in n ireland taking away all these flashy cars from drug dealers and the likes if they cant account for how they paid for the car?

Stringpants 09 June 2003 11:38 PM

What a great thread...so funny..."thinking about it..my dealer drives a Subaru"........
Not all Police Officers think like that..I assure you...another classic..."park outside someone elses house".....

Good Crime prevention advice...shame the neighbours got a right beating!

I have a Scoob.......if a team came into my house in the night with a weapon etc they wouldnt need to wake me up to find the keys.....they are there..easy to see..I would open the garage door for them!!
As nice as it is.....its a car!!

EvilBevel 10 June 2003 01:39 AM

..."park outside someone elses house".....

Yeah, great advice :( Hopefully they'll only beat their slightly handicapped kid into pulp eh ? Well, what do we know ? They are only neighours, not human beings, right ?

So this is how far we came with "moral" ?

Good post String.

And before you think I'm negative... meant it about your post being good.

Davestamf 10 June 2003 07:18 AM

I don't believe that anyone would make such an unsubstatiated and meaningless remark. Just take a look at the driver of a Subaru the next time one passes and compare his/her appearance to the average BMW driver. It's very easy to post a piece of total fiction onto this site and not provide any evidence, just look at this; My friend who works in a secret Government department, says that MI5 are providing all their employees with Aston Martins.

It's very easy to post a piece of total fiction onto this site and not provide any evidence
just saying it as i was told it...

i'm afraid i dont have any video evidence :D :D :D :D :D :D

Gridlock Mikey 10 June 2003 08:49 AM

Wondered why there was a P1 parked outside my house  Ba5tard :D

Jza, why are you cutting back? ;)

Mikey

Brett P1 10 June 2003 10:40 AM

i thought all scooby drivers, like me were actually gay!

Brett P1 10 June 2003 10:43 AM

AM I THE ONLY GAY SCOOBY DRIVER??

Jza 10 June 2003 12:59 PM

Brett P1

Probably ;)

Jza

Spoon 10 June 2003 01:40 PM

Give us a kiss Brett and i'll tell you.

CBR600F-T 10 June 2003 04:31 PM

Im not Gay, but I once had sex with a fella who was...

AllanB 10 June 2003 07:34 PM

Stringpants 10 June 2003 08:42 PM

I do know of at least on instance where the Scoob(MY02) was confiscated by the Police from a dealer...its now a Police car!!

Covert speed camera type jobbie.

Cannot say any more though!!

The Gilly 10 June 2003 10:20 PM

Let me get this straight......

we learnt all this from some coppers getting training?

I'm not sure what's more shocking, the fact that we actually learnt something from the old bill or the fact that they are actually being trained...........

All joking aside joining the 05 is on my list of career moves so I'm sure it's all nonsense. Everyone knows dealers don't drive they take cabs....or walk......or you meet them.......so I've heard..........

stavros 10 June 2003 10:44 PM

now i understand why they want to bring foreigners to run the police force......

molly 13 June 2003 10:20 AM

its true you know. alot of criminals do drive subaru's. mostly old shape.. reason being, price, availability, street credibility and yes you can avoid unwanted attention with a press of the right pedal. not met one in a new shape yet.. can only speak for the greater manchester area though. ps. alot of decent people drive old shapes too. like me !

Spoon 13 June 2003 11:19 AM

Stavros- You stay where you are kebab shop's are much more important! :D
