yeah, you're missing the £60 sensor + individual shipping costs from Oz.

Stefan

exesspeed 22 April 2003 05:57 PM

Well thats what you get with th MRT one acording to what im reading, and they are from aus, but sold in the uk ,its a MRT knock link, that warns you of impending doom, lol does the one your on about adjust the mixture if this happens, or am i still way off, only trying to find out now as it may be something i need,

UHF 22 April 2003 06:04 PM

It consists of a display module and a sensor, they are seperate parts which should be bought together as they are designed to work as a pair. I'm not sure what you are talking about but this device listens for engine knocking and reports it on a series of led's, its nothing more and nothing less than that.

stevebt 22 April 2003 06:18 PM

i'll have one:D

VinnyP 22 April 2003 06:24 PM

He's correct it is the knocklink and sensor. It works out about £75 + tax and delivery in AUS.
However shipping, eschange fees and duty would push this up, I bought a book from MRT, it worked out quite expensive and took a long time to arrive. It may be slightly cheaper this way but I'm willing to pay a little more for convenience and it's much easier to deal with a UK company if something goes wrong.

UHF 22 April 2003 06:25 PM

Agreed, as with all of these group buys, if you want to purchase it elsewhere, you are obviously free to do so, what is on offer here is the deal, and as far as I can see its a good one.

Vinesh 22 April 2003 06:41 PM

Is this the standard size or the new smaller version?

UHF 22 April 2003 06:44 PM

havent a clue, give a pic of the two you're talking about and i'll ask the supplier. I thought there was a model revision but that was a couple of months ago now.

exesspeed 22 April 2003 06:47 PM

uhf, THE mrt ONE IS THE SAME ACCODING TO WHAT IM READING, I WILL BE CALLING THEM TOMORO TO FIND OUT AS IM LOOKING FOR THE SAME BUT I NEED TO MAKE SURE ITS THE CORRECT ONE,THANKS FOR YOUR ADVICE GUYS sos caps on again not shouting lol .

UHF 22 April 2003 06:53 PM

ok, fair enough, your call.

Vinesh 22 April 2003 06:58 PM

I was told that Scoobymania do a smaller compact version of the Knocklink.

Sorry I dont have any pics.

I assume the BRD one is the standard size.

UHF 22 April 2003 07:00 PM

Dont know, I checked scoobymania before I started this group buy and nothing is listed.

Vinesh 22 April 2003 07:04 PM

I rang them today, but they have a 2 week wait for the new smaller units
