Ninja it is then.

adroy 23 April 2003 02:51 PM

Ok guy's,

Just spent the last 45mins fitting my new Ninja backbox and what a peach it looks!!!!! I didn't realise how damn good it looks!!!!!!!!

I'll get some snaps asap, but boy does it look and also sound excellent. The fitting went on like a treat, no probs at all, although I did need to get a new gasket and some gun gum!!

Over all very please and a snip at £215!!!

Nice one Wendy.

Now I just need to sell my Prodrive backbox!!

Cheers.

Ali.

Hi

Adroy / Demondave - really glad you are both pleased - they do look very good eh! :D

We have just two units left now out of the first shipment with the next batch due in (hopefully) next week. I've had the website updated with new soundfiles now.

Demondave - I dont think Aibo needs a new home just yet ;)

cheers

But can you get a centre decat pipe for this sweet looking bb?

NeilT 07 May 2003 05:35 PM

hi,

the Ninja is fully compatible with any standard fit (2.5") Subaru centre section (including the Afterburner centre section).

We'll be receiving new stock of the Ninjas early next week for anyone who is interested

thanks

Neil

mega_stream 07 May 2003 06:19 PM

Neil can you tell me if this will fit ok on my car?

Cheers

John

NeilT 07 May 2003 08:07 PM

Hi John

We have yet to try it on a Type RA and I suspect that it might not due to the larger diff.

I'm happy to send you one out (when they arrive) if you want to try it, if it doesnt fit just return to us, can't say fairer than that now eh ;)

Cheers

adroy 08 May 2003 12:06 AM

John,

I've just fitted a Hayward & Scott decat centre section to my Ninja without any hassles!! It pushes the backbox out a bit more but nothing you'd notice!!

Sounds superb too!!

Cheers.

Ali

Mine would be fitted to the stock STi5 centre, not planning on changing any other bits!

Any idea on the delivery charge for this Neil?, and should I find it won't fit round my diff what would be the arrangement to ship it back to you?

Cheers

John

NeilT 08 May 2003 04:31 PM

Hi John

Drop me an email with your address if you can, delivery generally around £10 to UK mainland.

Returns would be via our normal procedure (see our website for terms and conditions). As long as it hasn't been fitted it would be a direct refund minus postage.

Thanks

Neil

DemonDave 08 May 2003 04:36 PM

John,

Where abouts in the country are you. You are more than welcome to try mine beforehand if you are close and know a friendly exhaust fitter :)

Dave.

mega_stream 09 May 2003 06:41 AM

Neil / Dave thanks for the offer :)

I'm based in Kent, so a bit too far to drive to the midlands m8.

Is there any chance you could take a photo of the exhaust fitted on your car so I can look at the clearance of the bend over the diff.

Thanks again.

John

DemonDave 09 May 2003 08:36 AM

John,

It means getting on my back for ya ;), but I will have a go over the weekend and see if I can get a picture from underneath

Dave.

mega_stream 09 May 2003 09:59 AM

lol, cheers Dave :D

R.B 09 May 2003 12:15 PM

Dave do you mean to say that you dont clean under there.:D

DemonDave 09 May 2003 01:03 PM

:D not yet m8 ... been too wet and busy .... need to get one of them crawler boards and get under proper :)

mega_stream 09 May 2003 03:34 PM

If it's easier Dave I can take a photo of under my car and send it to you...

I do want one of these but don't really want the hassle of having to send it back should I find it knocks.

DemonDave 09 May 2003 04:47 PM

No worries .. I'll get a photo to you some how :)

Dave.

markpm 12 May 2003 01:12 AM

John,

Did you get any pics?
Did you order the Ninja?
Please tell me it'll fit our car mate.....please!!!

Still havent bought anything yet, I'd like to hold out for one of these, but my credit card is getting itchy! :D

DemonDave 12 May 2003 01:15 AM

Mark,

I sent john the pics and he was going back out to check :)

Dave.

mega_stream 12 May 2003 07:32 AM

Thanks again for the pics Dave, still not 100% sure if this will fit or not. The bend on my original STi backbox looks alot more than on yours.

mega_stream 12 May 2003 08:35 AM

Ok, just taken this picture of under mine.

Dave's Ninja on his UK car
http://www.megastream.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/RA/UK.jpg

And my STi backbox on my RA
http://www.megastream.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/RA/RA.jpg

Do you guys think this Ninja system will fit on my car ok?

DemonDave 12 May 2003 08:43 AM

I would say so ... it looks like a different harsher bend. I believe the ninja bend is smoother to aid flow ?

Can take a picture further down for comparision if you want.

Dave.

mega_stream 12 May 2003 05:59 PM

lol, yeah I know I want too aswell :D

It only looks a bit bigger don't it....the space between the bolts looks larger on mine, I'm not sure where it would hit if it was going to hit anywhere, TBH my old Scoobysport backbox I never saw where it was hitting, the exhaust bloke just told me is was hitting so I took his word for it.

Be my guest if you want to try ordering one 1st Mark :)

DemonDave 12 May 2003 10:50 PM

My scorpion hit the back section as well. A well placed cable tie pulled it over and sorted it out :)

Dave.

markpm 13 May 2003 12:02 AM

Haha!

We're not getting very far here are we! :D

Only trouble is, with me living on 'Alcatrazz' my postage to send it back if it doesnt fit is gonna be awful!

Aaarrrrgh......dont know what to do.....
