Can't please everybody
|
Flipin eck - just part-exd my Sport for an MY98 specially!
Seriously though it is quite unbelievable that we are not going to have a gathering as a club as we did in 2001. Having our own area that year was great as it was the first SIDC gathering I had gone to. It introduced me to scoobs and scooby lovers and I thought there was a good club type atmosphere. So while all other manufactureres will be represented in their own little paddocks/stands are we resigned to a meet in the car park??? I know its not easy organising within a club but this will certainly make me think twice when it comes to renewal. |
Can't really see what the problem is with just organising a stand for the SIDC. Fair enough you need someone like Stef if we are all going on track etc but surely if we all are staying in the club section area you only need a few volunteers, don't you?? Last years meet up with everyone was great and I'm not arsed about going on track but would have been nice to have the club out in force on the day, gutted:(
So, what now? Are we all going to meet up so we can all park together or what? CRAFThttp://216.40.249.192/mysmilies/otn/wink/thumb.gif |
Guys - I believe not all is lost. John B is working on this, and hoping to get a couple of track sessions for us as well. It will all be a bit last minute, but the club will be there :D

like......get us Track time and a club stand!!
|
Guys,
John B has got two 20 minute track slots provisionally booked for us, possibly 3 if there is enough demand. We'll need to book up these sessions quite quickly on the club shop (details not announced yet, so hold tight, but have your credit cards ready :)). Also, some volunteers to help with the stand on the day would be much appreciated (helping getting cars parked OK, directing people to the right place when they arrive etc.) Please contact John on johnb@sidc.co.uk to offer your support. John is a bit busy just now, so doesn't have time to post up on all the BBS's ;) If there is enough demand for places on the club stand, we'll look at getting merchendise for sale etc. Please show your support for this event, and we'll do our best to put on a good show for you (with your help of course :)) John |

OK, everything can now be booked up on-line. Track time (one session only, unless this fills quickly, in which case the 2nd one will be booked). You can order as many entry tickets as you wish at the reduced price, and get entry to the SIDC display area as well. John |
Sorry Phil
I cant make Trax,As Im off to Florida on 14th Sep and need every penny. If money was no object i would be their,as i had a fantastic time at donno, even know it ended up costing me over £300.I have just had to pay for STI 5 rear spoiler in TSL group buy,so am completely skint now.
