I was talking about Tesla's to a colleague, he is binning his Audi and has put a deposit on a Tesla

He took me through the technology, it does sound awesome


my main concern is the non-linear battery power delivery and also time to charge

he said both have been addressed (obviously not to petrol standards - but its a start), batteries have micro cells?? so deliver full charge until virtually empty and it takes only 20 mins for a half charge

I think of the number of times I have had to stop at a filling station to stick in a tenner of fuel to complete the journey. I'd need to get out of the mindset of running to near empty, I wonder how ambient temperature affects the batteries also.
