buyer beware............

you must have an idea what you want as to the untrained eye the spec c looks like a normal sti which is a hell of a lot cheaper.

nobody deserves to be ripped of but if you dont do your homework or trust a second hand car dealer you only have yourself to blame.

exactly.

clives performance are obviously lying to shift cars but it must be working as they are selling them.

What about the Trades Description Act?
This is not a private sale.

Do you really think they would care?

'Is it a Subaru Impreza STI sir?'

Well, yes but.....

' Well what's the problem then?'

Next!

If you buy a house and it is full of damp and the roof leaks, whose fault is that? Yours for not doing your home work. No different in the 2nd hand car market.

Christ, it's £15k! Not a few quid.

Skeleton in a biscuit tin is a great way to describe a spec c. Great analogy. Spot on :thumb:

Exactly. If you're prepared to pay around £7k over what a UK STi would go for, you really do need to do your homework.

They could have gave that one a wash before those photos though, eh? :lol1:

I don't know where dealers get the confidence to rip other people off like this. Guess they don't believe in karma.

You are right, although I've had both, I think the 22B I had inbetween was the rawest of the 3.

I've not been out in a 22B since I was 19... and I remember it being quite alright at the time. Would love to go out again in one and compare it to my current motors.

Reading that made me properly laugh out loud, Really hope I come across a situation soon where I can use that line :D:D :thumb::thumb:

My old man used it to describe an Escort van he was driven back home in by a friend years ago, when I first took him out in the S202 I reminded him of it... and about 30 seconds later a conker came in through the roof vent and hit me in the face. Funny times :D
