Com comes up when it turns on at first which i think is an american company when i goggled it .the screen stops displaying info sometimes for a few seconds.also got an old one had that repaired display went wrong
Awesome! Yes, Turn in Concepts is a company here in the US. They used to sell these data monitors back in the day. Looks like you got one that came from them. Do you like it? Worth getting one you think? For the heat problem maybe try wrapping heat reflective tape around it? I know we have a gold looking tape that is supposed to keep heat away from things so it's worth a try. |
The display is a lot better than the old one i have .shows a lot more i think than older ones ,shows peak data etc

Hmmm could explain why mine is so temperamental then :wonder::wonder:
Had one in my old car in the dash below the stereo and never had a problem, this one in the dash top is a pain :mad: When it suffers from heat does the screen scramble and / or keep turning off ?? Wonder would a small 5v pc cooling fan do a job on it, wouldn't do anything while sitting with ignition off but once running may help keep it cool? |

Will either scramble, turn off or freeze. Then once cooled again it'll just return to working again

Does anyone have EGT hooked up to their data monitor? I have a bung in my header and I'm thinking of using it.

I wonder if some of this stuck up inside the cowling would help keep the temps down?

Last night the data monitor I have in my car started reading all crazy symbols and numbers. Going to swap it out today with another one I have. I'm going to see if I can cool it down with something to get it working properly again.
