Thanks guys for positive comments :thumb: I found out yesterday that the car is very very safely mapped to 300bhp! With all the internals done I know why it feels like the engine is hardly working :) not to say its sluggish its just a smoother power..maybe its because I'm used to my raw classic..just a few little changes with exhaust and a map tweak will have her in my power bracket of 350bhp with plenty of scope left..but I'm not one for chasing numbers :thumb:
My RB320 is running 360 bhp on the standard unforged engine. |
Like Milner States, a remap will give you anything from 350 to 380 bhp, mine ran 376 bhp on just a map

A well built and forged 2.5 should be capable of up to 450bhp pretty safely. Just depends on what you want out of the car.
An RB320 definitely a lot nicer than the marmite machine! |

I don't understand your car being mapped to only 300 bhp, when the RB comes with 320 bhp as standard without any mapping :wonder: ???

When new, a load of RB320 club members wet to Weston Performance for a RR day.
All bar one of the RBs achieved spot on or just above 320ps. The one that was low by about 6-8ps & this was put down to cheap low octane fuel from Denmark! Who built & mapped your RB Bry? |

Good choice bry I looked at the 320 I really like them. With the classic if you can afford to keep her for track days then perfect

2.5" exhaust sleeve to fit 3" system
Hi guys can I get a pipe to slot inside the original 2.5" pipe so I can connect a 3" system to my rb320? Or do I need something done to the flange to make it fit? Still looking for decat downpipe and tidy exhaust system to fit on rb..anyone?:thumb:
|
Bug and blobeye exhaust systems fit rb320?
Do the bug and blob have the same exhaust set up as the hawkeye (rb320)? :wonder:
|
Same overall length but different size downpipes and centre lengths iirc.

:lol1: I do love my Marmite but I needed sophisticated power at my tender age of 34 and leave the fast and furious car for some younger chap to enjoy :thumb:
I'll look forward to seeing it pop up on sioc when you get round to selling her :thumb: |
Not too sure what your after Bry
But if your leaving the original down pipe in (sports cat) the Blitz Nur spec R (3" system) back box and center section reduces to 2.5" to marry to the downpipe.. |

As Lee said I think the flange on the end of most systems will be 2.5 any way. |
For your information bry, I have the Prodrive hi-flow sport cat fitted along with a Blitz nur Spec R and souds nice, yours will sound the same if you go down the same route as me as yours is also a 2.5 :)

Lol bonfire it! Marmite says it all..but I've loved the drive and power,I'm sure rb will be up there for drivability,so much smoother power and I do like the black as its different :)

Alright kid got a plan at what exhaust, leaving sports cat in and gonna get centre and backbox..so blob or bug centres will fit..?
