Some of you guys are incredible, there is a CON ARTIST on the lose and all you want to do is criticise the victim and play detective to see how you could of done better.
Just because he may have got away with it in the past doesn't mean that everyone should just roll over and put it down to experience, thats how these people manage to continue ripping people off. I dont think for a minute that you couldn't fall for it, these guys are very very good at what they do, its their way of life and are experts at what they do. |

You have a point with the other thread, although he might get his money back from PayPal so if that's the case then not so stupid but thats a discussion for the other thread.
if he knew him for two years he surely would know where he bloody lived:thumb: |

My first post that you referenced to was about the op who knew the seller for 2 years, you are now talking about a different guy and quite frankly I dont know.

all i can say is its sad that a genuine bloke has been ripped off, but as in most these cases they have lost money due to doing something stupid be it paypal gift to a stranger or handing over keys and v5s

The op has said that he has been stupid or something to that affect but how does rubbing salt in his wounds help.

Ladies and gents, might I remind ourselves of Post #1:

This guy needs to be stopped once and for all .
Anyone with dealings prior or currently please post here and lets finish his reign of terror on the Subaru community. He prays on anyone,he will show you lots of shiny parts all super high end stuff Pretend to be your best friend, come and have dinner with your family then take your car and your money. The police need info so we can put an end to this He is known to operate in Gloucestershire,Wiltshire,Birmingham,London,Wales and probably further afield There are many cars and parts missing and not to mention ££££££ WE WILL ARRANGE A SCOOBY MEET TO SIT DOWN WITH EVERYONE WHO HAS HAD UNHAPPY DEALINGS DETAILS TO BE CONFIRMED
If and when he's in court I don't think his brief will be cross-examining a Crown witness with 'I put it to you Mr Victim that you were a stupid b'stad handing over your keys and V5'. And I don't think the case for the Defence would end with 'Members of the Jury, the Prosecution has simply trailed out one stupid gullible prat after another. How can they possibly be credible?' Looks like there's a chance for SN to be a big help here. Op's stepped up to the plate and warned us. Don't you think we should recognise that and help as much as possible, not hinder? |

How on earth do you end up in this position. Had someone done this to me, I would find them one way or another. And he would get sorted out |
Everyone deals with things in different ways, some are happy to tackle things personally others prefer a legal approach.
In my experience seeking out individuals and trying to resolve things yourself doesn't get your money back, that said sadly l doubt the people that have been ripped off will ever get a proper financial settlement though they might have the satisfaction of seeing the con man in court. |

I agree it's not going to get your money, not a nice situation to be in I'm sure. Feel for you Darren |
Thanks Joe STI for the support. Can people please read why this thread was started. I came onto this forum thinking that it was a place where like minded people helped each other out and share these wonderfull cars to say I'm disappointed is an understatement! But thank you to the those who have shown there support. So please if anyone else has any experiences with this man please post here.

I hope you get this all sorted out Darren. Most of us do appreciate the heads up on sick ripoff merchants like this. Others just like to turn every decent thread into playground arguments! Fortunately this is a minority and most decent lads n lasses on here love to help out where possible. Good luck with catching this scum

We keep being told its a civil matter by the Police but after seeking legal advice we now know if we can prove he has done on a regular basis it's possible he will arrested.
