rads not on a slant.. the grill is.. which I need to make another bracket for but its kind of bottom of a long list to get the car built.

Might line them but prob not

philS scooby 22 November 2011 01:41 PM

Lol take that as bad im struggling for v3-4 gear never mind a 6 cylinder beast

Jolly Green Monster 22 November 2011 02:26 PM

Cams were custom made from billet and took forever to do.

valves and springs and titanium retainers were to bad to get hold of etc.

No only for mocking up.

I would like to be 11stone again but just 12 something would be nice.

But the curry I ate last night really didnt help :)

Keeping tight lipped eh? Can't give away all your secrets ;)

I've never been to any SSO or 30-130 etc but once this is ready, i think i'm going to make the trips to see this in action once it's done :)

Fear not Mr Monster. Let the curry do its "stuff" and it will flush you back down to 11 stone in a day or two, no worries.....

joz8968 25 November 2011 08:14 PM

...Plus added 'wind power' to help the brace'o'VF22s along... :D

Its a race car. I am not going to paint or powder coat everything to make it heavier.

The main aim is to go fast not look pretty, on that line the inlet manifold maybe going.

I am even concious that had I bought a shell and not had it sprayed it would be lighter!

Simon

ashwrx 28 November 2011 11:33 AM

just read the whole thing, your car is stunning, credit to you

It wouldn't be the jolly green monster without that kawasaki green so having the shell painted was more than justified IMO ;)

That manifold looks pretty heavy, surely a custom made one is on the cards :)

M444GY 28 November 2011 12:18 PM

looking good si , id take the guy out of the back though if you want to lose weight :D

Looking awesome Simon, what's the planned completion date?

Jolly Green Monster 28 November 2011 11:55 PM

asap

waiting of a few parts so I can finish this mock up and again waiting on more parts to complete the proper engine.. then gearbox out, engine out, proper engine in and build it up.

just waiting on those parts and then time to do it.

If parts I am waiting on arrive this week then a chance it might be a nice christmas present for me to hear the engine run for the first time.

Simon

BLU 01 December 2011 05:33 PM

This is gonna be awesome when its finished. Hope you're gonna post a vid of the first fire up for us all to hear :D Why the manifold change? I'm assuming because of pipe routing issues...... Thats a lot of i/c pipework you have there :lol1:
I can't help but think, though, you should have painted the morrettes black and complimented them with black crystal sidelights......
