I can't knock Di Maria, he won the game for PSG yesterday, and me money get in there
He was rubbish for us though

Funkii Munkii 08 February 2016 06:37 PM

Lets be honest The Wealdstone Warrior would look good for PSG in that league.

Funkii Munkii 10 February 2016 12:44 PM

According to the Mail and the Mirror Mourinho has told his closest allies that he'll be the new United manager from the summer.

Putting to one side whether I or other United fans even want Mourinho this sort of thing does not sit well with me, hot on the heels of the whole Guardiola to City stories, we now have another team leaking info on their "new" manager.

I feel for LVG as I did for Pellegrini it's a very poor way to run things and it is clear to see why we removed the word Football Club from our badge as we are just a business.

LVG must have grounds for constructive dismissal, I may not be his biggest fan but treat the man with respect this is not the United style we have more class than that, well at least I thought so.

The club lost it's ethos the day Fergie and Gill left the club on a full time basis and we now have Glazers money grabbing puppets running the club, business men not sportsmen.

If we thought the whole FIFA scandal was bad maybe the clubs need to be investigated, I believe it would make the FIFA fiasco look like a tea party in comparison.

Football stinks these days

P1Fanatic 13 February 2016 02:53 PM

Back to normality. Slow start and never got going. Too many slow, static players lacking effort & passion. Sunderland showed what hard work and fighting for every ball do. Only two utd players played well - Martial and Mata. Could have easily lost by a few more.

The Joshua Tree 13 February 2016 04:13 PM

I think his position is untenable now, losing against Sunderland and if Man City win they'll be 9pts behind the top 4. I don't see the point of keeping a manager that's failing in a big way and the team is in freefall, they may as well let him go now if they are lining up a new manager in the summer as they won't make the top 4 anyway, it will just be mid table obscurity this season whoever is in charge as the team needs a complete rebuild so give him his P45 and move on.

I really will be amazed if he's still here past tea time on monday.

jayallen 14 February 2016 07:44 AM

If it wasn't for de Gea, Utd would be mid table, maybe lower.

Funkii Munkii 15 February 2016 07:39 AM

The specter of Mourinho must be looming large on the horizon for LVG

The bloke has had 250mil, it's not like he's not been given a chance.

Team lacks inspiration and it's the managers job to do that, if he can't light the fire of desire in his players then he needs to go.

Simples.

urban 15 February 2016 11:37 AM

As a fan, I hate the current state of play.
They played well against Stoke/Chelsea, then turn up with that performance - WTF.

Aside, you have to feel for LVG. He much be under serious pressure and stress.
The media are a joke though, and should really take a good hard look at themselves.

If the players have no self desire to play for the greatest team on earth then they should be out the door as well
I do hear what you're saying and he isn't getting the best out of the players, I'd also point the finger at the back room staff, they probably have more to do with the players on a daily basis than LVG (I would have thought), Giggs may have been a great player but doesn't seem to be oozing with charisma or motivational qualities, he must keep that for his lady friends
He should be stepping up to the plate and proving his worth to both LVG and MUFC during this dark period - I just don't see anything inspiring from him either - GO GO GO clear out required

Funkii Munkii 18 February 2016 04:32 PM

Maureen or Mo Po

So if it was between Mourinho and Potchetino who'd you go for

Personally I'd take Potchetino :thumb:

Same here.

jayallen 18 February 2016 06:53 PM

Pochettino would be mad to pack his bags and move to Old Trafford and give up what he has created at White Hart Lane.....Spurs have some great young players who will only get better where as the Utd job is a total rebuild!

P1Fanatic 18 February 2016 10:20 PM

Spurs have always built up good players and squads but struggled to keep them.

After tonight I would take either proposal in a heartbear. The thing that riles me most is the lack of any emotion in the dugout. LvG and Giggs look like two office workers waiting for the clock to hit the hour so they can sign off and head home. Someone needs to give a **** and give these players a reality check as at the moment they are exhibiting the same lack lustre cant be arsed attitude. How many lazy passes tonight, followed by even lazier attempts to tackle back and block shots. You could see Smalling was doing his nut watching what was happening around him.

urban 22 February 2016 11:34 AM

Surely we will win tonight's FA cup match?
If we lose, then surely LVG will get fired.

I'd really like to see us go all the way in the FA Cup this year, win tonight and a not too bad draw against West Ham and were in the semis
last four:
Everton to beat Chelsea, CFC play PSG 3 days before FA Cup game
Palace to beat Reading
Man U to beat Shrewsbury and WH
Watford to go through, Arsenal have CL games and a game vs Spurs on the 5/3/16
Then again it's a funny old game, we could easily loose tonight
and it could be Chelsea, Reading, Arsenal and WH in the last 4

P1Fanatic 23 February 2016 05:20 PM

Fairly comfortable win. Did you see LvG nearly poke his own eye out with a pencil whilst taking a sip from his water bottle?

Funkii Munkii 23 February 2016 05:47 PM

Lets discuss how easy it is to defend against De Pay :lol1:

Cut in side, feign to shoot, feign to shoot, shoot, member of crowd 20 rows behind the goal returns ball to playing area, repeat

You should slate him more often lol. That was like when he first arrived at Utd. That was a pleasure to watch and a cracking open game. If we play even 50% of that on Sunday I will be happy.

:lol1: Couldn't agree more

I don't care it was a mediocre team or what the score was, it was just the fact we played in a stylish manner, it's been a long long time.

Obviously Giggs mentoring De Pay is taking immediate effect as well as the fact he was mixing it up rather than the usual routine which ultimately brought him a goal after about 6 attempts during the game.
I think Giigs probably gave him the same speech Fergie gave Giggsy and Sharpe many moons ago.

We just need to get Scholes on the 1st team coaching staff now to help progress these kids as we clearly have quite a few good ones itching to break through

Funkii Munkii 26 February 2016 12:22 PM

Dippers in the next round then

Come on lads we've got this one :D

urban 28 February 2016 05:40 PM

That was more like it!
Soft first goal we handed to them, pretty lucky with their second

elgassi 29 February 2016 10:50 AM

great victory, if that's the highlight of the season then that's OK with me, especially with the crop of kids starting to come through what an average age for a team - yipee

Funkii Munkii 29 February 2016 01:19 PM

Another good performance from the kids and as always I appreciate any victory over the Gooners :thumb:

What with the diippers losing it wasn't a bad Sunday after all :D

jaygsi 02 March 2016 05:03 PM

Should get a win tonight, just hope some of the top teams start loosing some games.

Your wish was answered. Shame Leicester didnt drop more and would have preferred West Ham to draw with Spurs. But otherwise a cracking set of midweek results for us.

Funkii Munkii 03 March 2016 12:03 PM

It would be slightly amusing if Pep had to start his tenure in the Europa League with City.

We have no chance of the title, so I want to see Leicester win it

cuprajake 03 March 2016 12:38 PM

played shocking though

Yep. Would be unbearable if the Spuds won it.

jaygsi 04 March 2016 10:51 AM

Lol i was well chuffed, but think Man city have a game in hand, Man u won by the skin of there teeth, but lets be fair they have a load of 1st team players out.

Blint made a few mess ups, but hes not a defender really, he did make one save with his foot.
