Since joinging my local camera club, I've tried to enter as many of their Digital and printed comps each month.. hoping I learn from month to month as to what get high marks on scoring (scores are out of 20) www.nops.org.uk
What I do like is the printed sections, where you need to get prints done, mount them on card 400x500 in size, which you have to cut with a bevel yourself.. then present it with a digital copy so that can be projected for all the club to see as well.
This is going in next months printed comp...
and I like it so much I've now framed it and Dean Ross will be having it from me at Rally Day at the end of September. (I'm going to get another printed justto enter it into the comp as I'm away when the comp is and Rally day is the week before, where I'll get to see Dean)
Last month I entered this in the printed section, but it was marked down due to the fact there wasn't enough 'space' for the car to be driving into!!
Very hard hen the camera captured it and the whole was filled the viewfinder display. there wasn't any room left... front or back! lol
I liked it anyway and once I got it home I framed it too, ready to sell on
pre cut out
secured ready to exhibit on the easel at camera club
then framed once it was finished up
a few more I've done for m-soc.com members...
still lots to learn, but I do love going to camera club
I'm looking at booking this place for a photo shoot in October
NSFW.. so be warned if you click the link
should be a good learning curve
I've got a couple of women I know who will help me out and another guy from camera club will come along too.
Tnx for looking
