We changed from a x reg Fiat Scudo to a Vauxhall Vivaro long wheel base 115 bhp. The Scudo was as flat as a fart and was crap on fuel (it did have 120k miles though). The Vivaro is 10 times as good but was ten times the price. I get around 35mpg but it gets ragged everywhere and the longest journeys it does is 25 miles.

You mean Pug Partner?

I have a Berlingo 1.4 on LPG, well should say did have, Just put a 1.6 16v in from the saxo VTS, yet to get a different ECU for the gas and will be back to cheap motoring. used to get around 260 miles from a 35 litre fill, will be even better with the longer saxo fd but it still tops at around 110, fun getting there as it is a little long in the tooth, will do 37 in 1st, 65 in 2nd and 95 in 3rd (all calculated )

Thinking of droping the standard 'box back in for better acceleration and a possibly higher top end due to the 1k higher rev limit and it being in the 'zone' but the saxo box will be perfect for motorway runs with you running a lower fd

I know it's a work van and a cheap old shed, but it's my bangernomics, the van had done 179k on it's factory 1.4 8v french engine and was running a bit rough but when a dirt cheap Saxo VTS came up, it just had to be done, I now have a van with a third of the miles on it's engine with a sound body and comfy seats as they were 'adapted' to fit too and it has cost me under £500 including the van and I have enjoyed doing it
