Default Pics of the new car

Not picked it up yet, still at the dealer. The detailer has spent all day on it, he found quite a few nasty scratches using which he has managed to machine polish out. £300 worth spent.

First impressions are good, I didn't realise carbon black was so blue! Interior looks a bit dark and sombre, I really wanted the oyster leather but with two messy kids it would have been a nightmare.

I agree Matt those wheels are lovely as is the car. What alloys are these?

Thanks guys. The alloys are 19 inch m sport ones which are an option for about £1000. I'm not into ridiculously big alloys for the sake of it but these still look quite small on the car!

I'm toying with the idea of replacing the front silver grill with a black one that matches the black shadowline glossy trim around the windows. What do you think? Will it look chavvy?

Very nice

It does look quite blue. My Nieces boyfriend has one the same colour and it doesn't look quite so blue in the flesh.

And as Matee says, we need some better pics.

Thanks guys. The other thing that I noted was that it does look really big.

Yes sorry the pics are from my phone. The detailer has taken some before and after pics himself which he will email to me and I'll post up.

Seems like people are split on the black grill

I'd be interested to know what you think it is, the 3 or the 7? Surely not the 1?

depends on what you want the car to be , if you want "mean" get it changed to black/Carbon fibre ones, or leave its standard as per the norm

Lovely looking car. I'm looking forward to the tourer, although i told the missus that the dogs will no longer be transported in the cars. I'm sick of cleaning them due to them being dirty b*****ds. Citreon Berlingo time for them

Enjoy

It looks too much like the 3 series to be honest (I was taking the Mick, with my comment ).I know BM are trying to blend them all into a similar shape but the 5 should make more of a statement than the 3 series .The second set of pics to be honest do make it look better .In future dont be taking pics when your having a Tug at the new motor !!! I would have been able to see the badge a bit clearer then !!!

Very nice.
Happy 60th birthday!

Ours is Carbon black and it's never looked that blue - might be the fluorescent lights that do it as I've never seen ours under anything but natural daylight.

Nice car.

I had a Carbon Black E46 M3. And without doubt you have chosen the best colour.
