Awesome. What a good colour choice. Can you copyright the colour for that car and send a picture to BMW and say look what you should have done, they will then want to do it in that colour so you can then ask for £1,000,000 for the rights.
...Hmm if only.

It probably is mapped because evolve do them with dyno printouts before and after and they seem very popular.
That looks stunning Ian and although I know it's only pictures but it looks like it came out of the factory like that, does it really look that good in the flesh? If so it's a cracking job for the money you paid I'd definitely have it

Well impressed with that respray! Sounded like a very bad idea at first, but £2.5k is a bargain for such an extensive job IMO, and the end result looks stunning!
You may well end up not losing out at all when you come to resell that!
Having gone to so much trouble tho I think I'd have been tempted to get a cat D M3 with panel damage, and then get it sorted out and resprayed.

The photo's don't do it justice , it looks far better in the flesh , I am over the moon with the finished job , I cannot recommend Byron and Eddie at Old School Engineering enough for the high class work they do , Byron does the paint work and eddie does the stripping and rebuilding , which is an art in itself , to put a car back together properly so you cannot tell its been stripped , you can see from the photo's the amount of work involved with the amount of stripping involve with doing a proper job in colour changing a car , and of course rebuilding it to a factory finish.
It looks absolutely awesome !

That looks superb Ian. Take my hat off to both you and the body shop. Is it mate's rates as surely they cannot be making anything for £2.5 - 3k - what man hours has it taken?
Looks so good in fact I'd consider a straight swap for my e46

Ian, ignore all the comments about affecting the car's value. You have got the car you want and it looks stunning. I would say show it to BMW as they are missinga trick not offering that colour, but maybe not as it is nice to have a one off. Enjoy it!

Not letting comments about the value bother me , personally I don't think it will affect it , I have ended up with the car I want
Cheers Ian
