VW Tiguan?
What are people's thoughts on these? Any one got one?
Had a look around my local dealer today. They have 2 Tiguan R's in. One in Biscay Blue, the other in Black. Have to say, I think they are a bl00dy nice car. Dealer's were the 140TDI, where as I'd want the 170TDI.
Same engine as my Golf, but due to the extra weight, mpg will be slightly less, although I probably wouldn't drive it quite like I do the Golf. If anyone has a 170TDI, what mpg are you getting?
They are pricey though. Specced up, it came to just under £31K. Got a decent trade-in value on mine, but he's going to have to budge another £2.5k to get my deposit
So what are people thought's then? Not interested in alternatives, looked at those.
X1? Looks better in the brochure. Looks **** in the flesh.
Q5? I so like these, but maybe a bit big for just me, and are more like £35k+
Ford Kuga? Not interested. Mate has one. OK for him not for me.

Yes, a 370Z. That's just for weekends though.
Wasn't planning on changing the Golf till either August/September this year, or spring next. But having been looking at Tiguans today (probably a mistake) I quite fancy getting one now. Either factory order, so looking at May delivery, or dealer is seeing what VW has in stock at other dealers to get close to my spec.

The parents have the 130ps 4motion diesel version. They love it, not my cup of tea just yet, although I have a feeling the next car will be a forester. Very nice though for an SUV, comfy, quiet due to the hidious amount of sound deadening around the block.
Infact my parents went for the lesser model to get rid of all the chrome, and the bonus is it has better offroad functionality due to a higher ground clearance and attack angle.

These actually aren't bad! One of the guys at work was debating one at a company car choice as he wanted something like a 4x4, but obviously doesnt want to get hammered on tax - and these meet that requirement.
Look pretty good with the 18" wheels - especially in white! Look a bit silly with the little wheels tho.
