Saurus R33 GTR

just wondering what kinda power this spec of gtr will be putting out, local lad has bought it and a few quotes of 700 are going about, how much can standard internals and the 5 speed box take?

If it's a genuine Garage Saurus car then it won't have standard internals, in fact I'd be surprised if it was still a 2.6 litre block.

New Era had a T88-33D Garage Saurus car with a 2.8 block and were claiming 670bhp @ 1.3 bar.

A standard gearbox in good condition with heavy duty Redline Shockproof will take that kind of power, but not forever. I know a guy running an RB30 block and BIG turbo on the standard box (remember, it's torque that kills boxes, not power and GTRs aren't that torquey). In terms of the engine, forged pistons are needed over 600bhp.

Either they have no idea of the true spec or it's not a genuine Garage Saurus prepared car, IMHO (happy to be proven wrong).

Here's a link to the New Era car with the same turbo and is a genuine GS car: Newera Imports - home / stock / carDetails

it is genuine as they imported it from the owner and all the paperwork is from garage saurus albeit in japanese they can only say what they know it definately has in the ad,the new owner knows the garage owner quite well i think, will be interesting to see what it can do on the road tho

Any idea what boost it's running? I'd personally be getting it checked to make sure it's happy on UK fuel and gettng it remapped if not. Should be a missile.

Also, if it is running 700bhp then the 720cc injectors will be running very close to their limit.

thats my thinking as theres plenty of scoobs running more than that, but then i dont claim to know much about flow capacities or such, but the newera one only had 700cc injectors.i know the garage look after a time attack and edc cars, and they do mapping themselves.Personally good luck to him,it looks a crazy car, should be quite rapid. Was just curious if that spec could make the power claimed
