Jusy my opintion BUT....
a) I hate replicas
b) With all the money you spend doing that you could have got something better as a first car- ie 306 D Turbo, 90 BHP, group 5 insurance.
c) its your first car!
My first car was a Tipo bog standard- did the job perfectly.
Anyways, all the best- it does look good by the way- the Clio valvers (genuine ones) are cracking motors.

I think you've done a nice job too. Most youngsters would have an Impreza scoop on the bonnet, silver mesh everywhere etc. So for your first car.. good on you I say.
Although we haven't seen the back... not got a flushed tailgate and afterburner lights has it?
Also not a lot you can do about the rear arches I guess (as far as the replica goes)

That looks spot on
Clio's handle well, and the original ones like yours look good as well. Ignore the doubters, young lads really struggle with insurance these days, so good on ya

when i can afford it will do a engine conversion but i cant see that haping till next summrer
as for the rear it has tinted standard lights ....but it had got a awfull exhaust it was on the car when it was standerd and am getting a full maxnex system at the weekend fitted..
other than that, that will be about it for the car...thought about cream leather with green piping..but would use the 16v seats

Nice Job, alot of users on scoobynet could learn alot from you . Bloke by me has re-done his Williams - and completely ruined a lovely car...glitter paint and a daft bodykit - yuk
Not as luxurious as my uncle's Clio Baccara though...full leather and wood in a clio
1.6 auto though....the 1.2 manual is faster

Good for you and hope you enjoy it.
Not being a killjoy but have you declared all the modifications from standard to the insurance company ? If not they could very easily invalidate your policy if you were involved in an accident.

So how much has this all cost?....Im puzzled by youngsters paying £000s to do up little cars just to 'save' on insurance, when in reality they could get a decent car and insure it with the money they pay....

Looks good, still quite want a 16v as a track/fun car
Not normally a fan of replicas either but this one looks very smart, at least you haven't got 16v badges stuck on all over the place.

Nice car mate.
I worked as a mechanic for a Renault main dealers for years, and I remember the first 16v Clio very well. Its still today one of the best hot hatches ever made, and IMHO are just as good as the new 172 and 82 16v's. The Williams clio's were amazing though, if anyone could get a mint low mileage un-modded phase 1 williams, you'd be very happy.
Looked the part, handled brilliantly ( for a FWD motor ) went like a rocket, one of the more reliable Renaults. ( god I remember the 5GTT )
I can say this though, from what I remember Renault used there own anti-freeze as standard, and when owners topped up there water with non-renault anti freeze, say eth glycol based solution more often than not it reacted with the exsiting coolant and changed the water to a horrible rusty brown colour, which ended up in causing head gasket failure. Other than that and rear wheel bearings, you'll have a pretty reliable car there mate.
Nice looker too. All you need now are the centre console gauges off a valver to fit, or have you fitted them ?
Keep up the good work mate.
