Buying a new car at list ++.....
Has anyone ever bought/sold a new car pre-delivery? eg. buying someones place on a waiting list.
How do u ensure that u r the first registered owner??
Does it require the help of a friendly dealer?

If you are on the waiting list try advertising the expected delivery date. You can then sell your place on the list and agree with dealer that the registered owner will be MR/MRS xxxxxx. My friend was contacted by his Lotus dealer offering £5k to buy his place back on the Lotus Elise list. Saying that he was first on the dealer list and someone obviously wanted the first one and offered the dealer ££££ to get him one.
