The scooby has gone!
My lovely WRX03 PPP has gone, for a few reasons:
1. The seats were hurting my back.
2. Every man and his dog wanted a race when I was trying to make progress.
3. The performance was never that good above 70, but combine a hot day and air-con and I'm sure a diesel Mondeo could keep up!
So, I picked this up recently
444 BHP, 4.2 litre V8 twin turbo.
One year old, Full leather electrically adjustable and heated seats, sat nav, TV, 6 CD changer with Bose sound system, electric folding/dimming mirrors, electrically adjustable steering wheel, 19" wheels... and lots of other nice touches
WHEN it gets remapped it will have a power to weight ratio the same as the 'turbo. Abt can chip it to 505 BHP AND keep the warrantee intact with Audi UK!
I miss the chuckability of the scoob, but I think this suits my holiday driving style better. Looking forward to the first long trip - South of France here we come!
I may also remove the badges and replace them with "1.9TDi"

Superb choice of car...I remeber having a tussle with one in my (then) e36 m3 evo......Ive never been so beaten before, he simply wiped the floor, and left me for dust!
Bet it cost a bit though....!

my dads mate had one, all i can say is what a car, he's recently tested a load of cars and reckons nothing compares to the RS6, but he also had loads of people try racing him like you get in the scoob, I think a lot of people know what the RS6 is capable of so your rear view mirror will always get the odd Nova or corsa trying it on.

If funds would permit I'd sure like one of those one dayonder2: . I bet they sound awesome with an aftermarket exhaust system fitted - mind you saw a red one at Oulton park acting as the pace car for the BSB and that sounded fruity.

Sorry but gotta say Audis arent great looking cars,no matter how well they perform and no matter how gyzmo-equipped they are inside.Apart from AudiUR/WR head turner and their historical performance good few yrs ago,i dont remember any Audi including toy TT
Apart from that,They are ridiculously overpriced for what they are.Devaluation is about 60% as Jeremy Clarkeson said last year.
Still, nice car! I wouldnt have one!Too plain looking plane
BTW,I have 3 Audis in my household( Mine is good old "slow" scooby tho ) so please know i aint having a go.

Some of your memorable quotes from the turbo blast:
Accellerating down a slip road:
"My ears have just popped..."
Going over a small bump at full throttle:
"I thought we were going to take off there!"

The fastest monitor mover in the east!
I had to throw out half of the junk in the garage to find 40cm more for this beast.
I gave the scoob back to the dealer, as they gave me more than the Audi dealer was offering. The time between deciding to get the RS6 and actually getting it was quite short, so I was keen to take the easiest route when selling the scoob.
