Just helped the eldest to fit a set of three Defis on a Clio 197 which has a Megane Turbo engine in it. It's awaiting a remap after having a larger Forge intercooler and bigger injectors, which may raise it close to 300bhp.
The lad and his mate have made their own gauge pod, which sits where the clock and CD player display were. He's doing away with both as he's buying a DAB radio-CD .
Go for it. I saw a Megane engined Clio in the readers cars section on Pistonheads at one point and the consensus was that it makes for a pretty serious bit of kit.
Nah, looks tighter than it is.
Since it's based on the OE Clio III clock pod, it's a perfect fit on top of the dash.
In fact, the gauges are better spaced than three 60mm Defis in my classic.
Oh...yes, it sure is. He's ripped out the aircon which wasn't working, and the rad and intercooler are on home made brackets.
He was a plater, so found that sort of thing easy enough.
