Ok so I'm itching for new car, got a good BMW salesman who said he can prob get me in an M car and take my JCW mini
Guide me girls M2 would be obvious choice but 2nd hand they seem to be 50k which leaves me thinking m3 pref M4 as these second hand are same costs
What's everyone's view I hear Ms can be boring any views, my pref car would be C63S but too much even second hand
I looked at RS3 etc but a lot of VAG thefts about locally to me Tiguans S3s Gold Rs and VRS all getting nicked by theives who break in for the keys so don't want that
On my mind, why is this by the way why VAG?
Thanks chaps
I did consider merc C400 but BMW guy seems to be a god at number crunching

Maybe there's a market in Africa for VAG cars, or just getting knicked to break for parts?
On the BMW thing. I tested a 4 Series, and thought it was utter sh1te. Even in only damp roads the Traction control was more on than off. No driven an M3 or M4, but they don't get great reviews from Evo mag.

Think it's more a keyless thing. BMW's, and Fords are also hit with this. Lots of MKII Focus RS's were getting knicked as it was all too easy. That's why I never got this on my S3.

I'll have to do some more reading and drive one, I'm just sat on holiday at the moment last day now and just toying with the idea, I know not many like the BMW stuff but I seem to recall a few have had them and did order the M2 on this forum
I'll keep my eye on the thread for the positive comments LOL
That's

Having seen an RS3 today, I'd say put aside a couple of extra thousand for a set of decent alloys. Well, unless you like your alloys to look like ripspeed specials lol!!
Just buy a GTR and be done with it.

What a totally pointless comment, I ain't even bought anything yet I'm asking advice. Don't you have holidays or you spending all ya money on weed

There was no need to mention holidays etc, any normal person wouldn't because it is irrelevant to you wanting to purchase yet another new car, but you do because you are a very materialistic and shallow individual......

Every post you make is about how much money you are spending or new stuff you want to buy or how great you are and how you have more money than everyone else.

Depends on volume. Is the M2 a limited edition or low volume model? With M cars, it's low volume models like the Z3M Coupe, M3 CSL, 1M etc that hold their value. Anything that sold in big numbers will just plummet until they start getting rare again.
If you're concerned about depreciation and resale, I'd look for an older/cheaper performance car that is at the bottom of it's depreciation curve, not the top.

What about getting a little Elise or VX220 - to satisfy the need for "fun"
Then just get a booringish barge for day to day
And barges can be quite fast these days

You went in at length how you couldn't justify the cost of the A45 AMG fro the use it got, and how you could put the cash to better use.
Fair play - you got rid of it and bough a Mini.
But now you're asking the forum about £50-60k plus M cars. Is it any wonder people on here are reacting this way?

I'd go for the 1M Coupe still cost you best part of 50k tho,
Recent test between M4,M2 and the older 1Mcoupe showed how little difference there really was,
