B7 Audi RS4
Well, here she is, an RS4 in Sprint Blue, lets hope petrol prices stay as they are for a while.
It's got the compulsary Milltek valved exhaust, Bilstein PSS9 suspension and 20" x 10" BBS-CXr alloys, absolutely stunning to drive and sounds awesome !!!!
Hope you like it ????

I test drove an RS4 (B7) avant last summer. Never have been so dissapointed in a car to be brutally honest. Sounded great and was very comfortable, but the feeling of speed was non-existent.

The wheels have been previously powderciated in Antracite and they have a couple of small kerb marks that have been touched up so when i get a bit of money together i'm going to have them re-done in gloss black.
Lol @ the video, see what i can do for you haha

That looks really nice and I bet it has a lot of road presence too. If I'm being very critical, it looks like it's sitting a tad too low for my liking. Or maybe it's just an illusion because of the wide arches? Can't quite tell from the pics but it does look mean.

It's certainly been turning a few heads when you press the sports button and give it some beans 😉

I know we're only talking pictures but the wheels do look in cracking condition, but you do like things spot on....and why not mate. I seen a small buyers guide of yours on fifth gear abit ago. Bloody steel for the money and common things was just brakes and suspension if I remember.
I'd have one in a heartbeat!!!!!! Look forward to the sound check.
Oh and if your passing near Heaton Park way give us a shout. I'd love a passing ride.....or the boot if the seats are full

Wheels definately need a touch up mate, and i'm not overly keen on the anthracite finish, it's dull.
Took it for a spin down the M62 at weekend and the windscreen has cracked after a stone chipped it, getting that replaced tomorrow. If you ever get the chance to own one of these, just go for it

timing chains quiet enough? heard they give a cam sensor phasing fault when stretched, its an engine out job to fix as they are at the back. Apart from that I think they are a fairly bullet proof car

Engines all sweet mate, no timing chain noises at all. Couple of small niggles have arisen since i bought the car, windscreen cracked and replaced yesterday(£75 excess), wiper blade has a faulty fitting, the hydraulic bonnet strut has no gas in it (£20 to replace) and expansion tank has an small crack in it (£18 to replace). If this is all i have to spend on it other than servicing then i'll be happy

Bit of an update, not been on for months. Had a couple of "very" expensive jobs done on the car, the inlet manifold flaps were stook open although you would never have known when driving the car and the OEM oil cooler was starting to leak oil. Rather than go OEM again, i've had an upgraded Forge oil cooler and pipework fitted. Wheels have been powdercoated gloss black and it's been into Jakes for a good polish.................
Oh, had the rear windows tinted too

How do you find it day to day?
An Avant is quite high on my want list but there are a fair few who say it's a disappointment to drive.
I have an A4 Avant B7 now and I'm undecided whether to keep my B7 and get Impreza/Evo for fun/weekend or go all in with the RS4. Either way I have say £15K for the JDM or that plus my B7 towards the RS4.

In all honesty i only work a mile and a half away from home and because of that the mpg is the worst factor about the car for me. On a run its not proving too bad but then again i didn't buy the car to start bothering about the mpg. I've had 4 imprezas in the past 10-11 years and loved every one of them in there own way but this thing is something else. You don't get that initial kick in the back of your head that a turbo car gives you but the power delivery is just brutal, especially when you get up to the 8k rev limit.
It terms of upkeep, everything on these cars will cost you an arm and a leg so if you're serious about getting one make sure the brakes have been done, check the oil cooler for seeping oil, check the DRC(suspension) has been done or replaced but more importantly that they have a comprehensive service history. My car has done 87k now and has had most parts replaced under warranty and it drives superb.
