First of all, dont rush into anything just because a paticular example catches your eye. It is very easy to be smitten by these cars. Check as many out as you can and decide which one is the best. then come on the tunnel run

Yeah insurance is a pain I had a renewal of 1500 from 1000 last year but managed to get it down to 800 on my imported RA with a japenese import specialist, insurance history in a performance car is important and also a decent alarm helps to bring it down

Insurance is crazy now. Even more so on these. As above, just see as many as you can. There's loads out there at the mo and one will have your name on it. FSH is a must, with regular oil changes. Rear shocks going is a common problem. Fronts seem to be ok. Ask if it's been Decatted or not. Prob tell with the sound Just for MOT's and Cell Lights etc. I've got the newage one so I'm not that sure on Classics. Afew others on here will help you out soon enough buddy.
Good Luck

Need to check out the local forums and clubs
Cheshire ?
So you have the LADS ,north Wales group and of course the CADS all within your area
Bit further afield Cumbrian Scoobs ,south Scottish group and TTS and NESF in the north east
Always some cars getting sold and are club cars so well known and documented
Why not go along to club meeting and get talking to the people who will have their cars there and they will give you hands on advice what to look for and of course there will be some that they know off for sale
We also have the Blackpool lights run
Check out northern and there will be over 100 cars going so always a good chance to look around

If you don't like good customer care you could try Graham Walker
Failing that, I always find dealers to give you an idea of how much a model is worth .. take about £1k off the price they have them for sale for
Buying from a long term member on here too is a good idea, use the search function to check out any issues they've had ..

Welcome
Get yourself registered with our club, link below in my sig. We're only a stones throw away from the Wirral just past Queensferry. Our chairman (richgreenscooby1) is a subaru mechanic and I'm sure he'll be happy to advise you with any queries you may have.
Take your time and take a good, long look at any cars you go to view, including any paperwork that comes with them. Be prepared to travel for a good one too.
Classics are fairly solid but watch out for rusty rear wheel arches, a common problem on theses unfortunately.
Good luck with your search
