Place to stay in York

Got let down by the hotel we'd booked in York for our wedding anniversary/"what are all those fast cars doing at that airfield?" weekend away.

Anyone local know any good places to stay?

only place i could find last minute was one of the travel inns . . . . .

same prob here. The hotel we booked through Lastminute.com helpfully re-booked us a room in Doncaster. Great, thanks, only 50 miles from where we want to be
