Default Newbie in Cheshire

Hi Guys and Girls,

Just joined having bought my first Subaru last weekend. I've been a member of various owner forums in the past, so I look forward to talking and meeting people.

My car is an '02 WRX in green (which I believe is quite rare?), and hence the username. The car already had a full de-cat system, uprated fuel pump and STI scoop and spoiler fitted when I bought it. Earlier this week I paid a trip to Zi Motorsport in Wrexham and had it remapped to 270bhp. Really impressed with the results.

I hope that there are some meets locally as I would love to learn more from those more experienced in the world of Scooby's.

how much was your remap? I'm looking to get my 02 WRX remapped after upgrading my turbo.

Hi Ken,

I think they charge around the £300 mark. Mine cost £475, but that included fitting the de-cat up pipe I supplied along with replacing the atmospheric DV for the original.

They're very good. Jay Jay is the main guy there, it's his company. I'll be going back at some point when I've acquired a bigger turbo, intercooler, injectors.

Hi Sean. How's your car running since your remap at Zi Motorsport? I've got mine booked in on Friday morning..... You had any issues? Regards Ken

Guys at Zi Motorsport were spot on. JJ, the guy in charge really knows his stuff. Big shock when it went on rollers and only showed 145 bhp... Few new bits and some tinkering saw a nice 260 bhp.... Very happy!!!!
