I recently came of my motorbike on my commute home on a dark rainy evening...as women pulled out of a car park right in front of me during rush hour
I had to brake as hard as I could and unfortunately happened to brake whilst going over 2 large sewer covers, meaning the bike violently skidded to the left and I was flung off to the right landing on my right wrist/arm/chest and jaw (she wheel spinned off and left me face down on the road)

After a day in hospital (and a few weeks later) I received a phone call from a company asking me if I wanted to proceed with any possible negligence claims towards the NHS staff that helped me get back on my feet

I couldn't believe it! These cheeky bast4rds wanted me to try and get a claim together against the very people that helped me whilst I was in pain!

What sort of person must you be to peruse something like that!
Hard times or not I just don't understand how these peoples dont feel ashamed

Hah! The government are raising small claims limit to 10k and encouraging people to ent e r into damage based agreements where lawyer takes % share of your winnings

Can our legal system get any more embarrassingly American

I cringe

I've found an excellent solution to that type of call (and all uninvited sales calls in fact):

You could find yourself in court if you tried using that down a phone.

Contingency fee lawyers - Mr Blair's lasting legacy.
Plus devolved government leading to the breakup of the UK?
Nothing like a bit of lefty well meaning politics to get things in order.
