Bradley Wiggins old bike
As above, one of his 2011 bikes...

Happy bidding, nice but way out of my league.

Had a genuine cycling enthusiast won that bike in the competition, I'm sure they would have kept it and enjoyed the experience of owning a fantastic bicycle from a great team and a truly excellent rider.
The person selling it can't really be into the sport and has entered and won that competition and probably always intended to sell it, thus denying genuine cycling fans the chance to own it and is nothing more than an opportunistic parasite!
I feel sure Brad Wiggins would have preferred that bike to have been won by someone who would appreciate it and not just try to make a fast buck off of Bradley's and team Sky's cycling success's!

I couldn't agree more but it's a tough world out there and 10k is a lot of cash.

Yes. Probably a merchant banker will have it hanging on the wall of his quayside penthouse apartment and it will never turn a wheel or see the light of day!

It's not even Wiggins 'real' bike, more like a replica
In the 2011 Tour de France, Sky teamed up with WWF and ran green bikes/kit...

I suspect the "2011" may be a typo

£1,800 though!
Even £10k is probably less than the sum of its parts. And CF is not cheap.

Sounds a bargain to me, must have cost much more than £10,000.
However Brad is well over six feet tall and has long legs so not many people would ever be able to ride it.
Certainly not me.

I would be able to ride it but I would be too scared to ride it I think, my current bike was £600 and at the time I thought that was a lot of cash.
My next bike will probably be around £1k which is peanuts compared to that.

Looks like Sky has expressed their disappointment in him selling the bike, but where would you ride it as a normal person for example. Go for a ride on the Derwent walk and its a nice day so we will call into the pub for a quick drink, everyone else has their bike outside but what do you do with your bike? Your obviously too scared to leave it outside so you have to watch it.
That will happen in most cases for this bike so in theory who ever buys it will put the bike to better use?

Tbh Ste that's not the sort of bike you'd use as a Sunday special and nip to the pub on. It's a out and out race bike with geometry to match.
I'd never even leave my BMC outside anywhere let alone a £10k ex pro bike like that. That's not to say I'd not love it. I'm the same height as Bradley so it's kinda made for me
