Doesn't matter to me whether Andy Murray has no personality, how monotone he is, what he looks like, whether he is Scottish or else, and what his mum and dad are like. What matters is that the young man played his best all the way through this tournament, and got Britain in Wimbledon final after the years of it remaining in the shadows. I am very sorry to see him lose. He was playing fantastic until the roof came up, which is not a serious excuse for a player of his level, but after that, he defended more, and Federer just attacked like a lion as usual. British public should be very proud of Andy Murray for his dedication to Tennis and for his potential to make this country proud. Very well done, Andy Murray! Hope we see good matches with you in them in years to come!

Correct.

I think we all knew that eventually, Federer would just walk about in the park, while Andy would anxiously chase the ball around with his slips and tumbles. We still hoped agaist hope, which is not a bad thing to do at all for our international player. Andy has indeed done very well against the Tennis legend Federer.

Not a fan of Wiggins either. He thinks he's pretty cool with his music and mod fashion BS.

What is this Murray hating English all about?? Is it to do with him saying 3 years or so ago that he would support anyone but English in a football tournament? I hear that he said that in jest? Is there anyone/anything that can substantiate Murray's hate for English? I'm just interested to know, as I thought it was the media blowing that out of proportion.

Also when questioned about how well sky are doing (alluding to not riding clean):

“I say they’re just f0cking w0nkers. I cannot be doing with people like that.

It justifies their own bone-idleness because they can’t ever imagine applying themselves to do anything in their lives.

It’s easy for them to sit under a pseudonym on Twitter and write that sort of ****, rather than get off their ***** in their own lives and apply themselves and work hard at something and achieve something. And that’s ultimately it. C0nts.”

That's what I don't like. It's "I'm an elite athlete, see how great I am".

The wife and I, well the wife actually, was glued to the TV to watch the final. I was listening via speakers in the kitchen drinking lager and cooking up some food - Everytime I walked into the morning room (Where we keep the TV) - Murray lost a point, so I banished myself to the back garden (Handy as I wanted to have a cheeky cigarette or three).

Gutted that Andy lost, his mum is attached to my Tennis Club / Academy although I'm WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too old to take benefit now.

His comments and demeanour at the end of the game did nothing but show his human side, for which I applaud him.

12 months ago I would have said "So what"
Today, after his performance and reaction, I say "When"

also a point to note federer was very motivated going into the final as he would equal pete sampras record of 7 wimbledon titles.

He'd be good at doing the Talking Clock - monotone is what's needed there.

Yes, he nearly won ... the world is full of nearly people.

I think he may get a Gold at the Olympics .... in the blubbing contest
