So, are you telling us what you did? If so, good for what you did. Sorry I have no trophy to give you.
If you are asking what you can do for oversleeping, then do nothing. Just use the time constructively when you are awake. If you happen to be someone else's b!tch (I mean employed by someone) then make sure you have about 3 alarm clocks to wake you up. Otherwise sacking from your employers could be on its way to you. if 3 alarm clocks don't wake you up, then just before the bed time, start saying to yourself that it is really important for you to get up at certain O' Clock, or you will be in a serious ****. That should keep your anxiety going in the background of your sleep, and should control your excessive sleep. Some people develop a natural alarm clock in their system with the kick of this anxiety. No matter what time they go to bed, they involuntarily jump out of bed like a frog pops out of water at the certain O'Clock. It may happen to you if you get a bit serious about waking up.
Hope this helps. If it doesn't help, then see your GP. You may be suffering from sleep disorder, and may need something stronger e.g. a kick up your butt every morning. On a serious note, go see your doc if you are oversleeping too much.

if you,ve got an iphone try sleep cycle. its an app that tracks your sleeping pattern by tracking your moving/restlessness while you sleep and gives you a graph over the hrs slept with peaks on the graph to indicate periods when you were not in deep sleep. interesting stuff. and its also got an alarm built in so you can get your *** up for work as well!

Now, what seems to be the problem?

haha id be inclined to agree with that.
im not sure im getting what the issue is.
correct me if im wrong, but do you mean you cant wake up, and seem to be able to sleep for excessively long periods?
and are you recovering from some kind of trauma? taking any medication ect.
lastly can you not consult a medic where you are?

Still don't see what the problem is.
You posted a link about how to gradually reduce sleepinging hours, but you are saying you didn't and went from 11 hours to 8 overnight, and you are concerned? Why should you be concerned about that, unless you have some other cause to be? 11 hours is probably an unhealthily long amount of time to be sleeping anyway!
