Exclamation What Did I Tell You!?

Here we are, stuck in another recession, courtesy of two Eton Boys who wouldn't know what hardship was ......

Completely out of touch - and I told you that to vote Tory would result in disaster!!

Even good old Les, the old Tory, is wondering what he did voting for the Tories!!

I can hear you shouting now, "Please, Brown, Blair and Darling - come back, NOW!" ... well, I've got news for all you ex-Tories ... it's too late and YOU are to blame!!

Have we ever really been out of it?? When we went into recession the 1st time everyone was affected in some way but now we have had it this way for so long I doubt anyone will even notice.

Anyway...easy way out of the recession: Create a shortage/strike threat.

Last week petrol, next week bread, week after that milk, and beer after that.

The last panic spree has already been proven that a) people DO have the money and b) it puts more money back into the economy....Its just a different twist the Labour's false "boom" created by getting everyone to buy houses.

The Engineering Companies I deal with have never been busier .... we have never been busier ..... no sign of a slowdown around here.

That's despite the Eton Boyz with silver spoons in their gobs - they have done nothing ..... I'm sure they have no idea what's going on.

Yeah too right Pete , if Gordon was in charge he'd at least done something

We'd be 2 trillions in debt, but at least we wouldn't be in recession

Lol

The world is coming around to the idea that the austerity measures are not working - to spend and get things moving is the answer.

Instead of ploughing £Billions into the Banks via QE the Bank should have given £45,000 to each Taxpayer to spend on goods and servives - this money must be spent, not saved. They would be given in vouchers to spend.

But, no, the Banks get all the QE and reward themselves with massive pay and bonuses - in good old Tory fashion!!

That booming business is all down to Vince Cable the saviour of British enterprise

And the Eton boys are using all all that tax gained from those sucessful UK businesses to manage the debt that we've been lumbered with and give IMF loans at favourble interest rates (meaning more money for us), and in turn keep us in the globe's good books (Never a bad thing, seeing their low opinion of us...not being in the Euro and plundering Iraq etc. )

In five years time we might be back to the debt levels of 2007 - £500bn. Need I remind it was under Labours watch that saw this record breaking level of debt - the highest in UK history. Yet despite the last incumbents being aware of the huge alarm bells that had been ringing for well over 3years before the collapse in 2007, what did they do? NOTHING! They stood around and let it fall apart. So UK debt spirals out of control to the point that it will take years to stop it rising let alone reduce it!

We are still suffereing debt rises as the consequences of inaction to those alarm bells back in 2003. As far back as 2001 there was warnings of a international economic slow down from the BoE. Whilst lots palmed it off as ripples caused by 9/11, it was obvious the cracks were there, and the event was used as poor excuse to justify it. For shame.

I knew markets were stalling as far back as 2001....yet that government didn't? Talk about being out of touch....or was Brown more blind than Blunket to see it?

Pete, if austerity isnt the answer, why did shares across Europe tumble on Monday when it became apparent that Francois Hollande's bribery of the French electorate with his spend, spend, spend policies look like they will actually get him elected?

Technical sign of a recession = two consecutive quarters with negative GDP growth and the return of an unfunny troll

Not good on a variety of levels

Ah, nothing to do with France being so hugely debt-riddled they have already lost their AAA credit status, but Hollande wants to REDUCE the age of retirement by two years, and employ many tens of thousands more civil servants?

The only reason we came out of recession by a fraction of a percentage was because us northerners pulled together to eat more pies. But because we keep being told its bad to be obese we have had to cut back. So no real change to how your lot left it Pete.

Hi Pete !

Ok, he winds you lot up but PSL is part of the Scoobynet foundations, he is like our equivalent of the Ravens at the Tower of London, always Flapping, Squawking and crapping on stuff but like a massive unsightly wart you have had for years, you miss it when its not there.

He's never managed to wind me up, I like him too

Oh and yes, I now think, no matter who is in power, they are nothing but a bunch of self serving idiots who have no idea what state the Country is in, nor how hard it is for the vast majority of people.
