Default stealing mini cooper mirrors
Just been reading in the local wrag about a spate of thefts from mini coopers
quite a few have had the door mirrors knicked over a few weeks
am i missing something? why steal mirrors? do they fit other cars?

Been common for a while. We were selling mirror caps, glasses etc on a weekly basis.

The mirror cars are a bit expensive so instead of buying them, people steal them.

They are probably easy to unscrew from the outside of the car.

My next-door neighbour had his nicked off his S4 Audi, and they are £1100 to replace, apparently they go for about £400 on eBay.

Looking at the mirrors on my Mini, I think you just need the right size of Allen Key to undo them from outside the car.

My neighbour's white ones were nicked. Middle of the night and car on a gravel driveway. Evil sneaky *******!
