Default Cameron isn;t coming out of this NotW thing too well is he?

Love watrching a politician squirm

More to come I reckon, he may not survive this one!

Prescott of all people wrote to him in 2009 warning him about Coulson ... he didn't even have the courtesy to reply... seems Prescott weas right.. and that is not something you can often say!

It is all a sorry mess. The press, the police, the politicians... they are full of lying, self serving, cheating scum... no wonder the general population in the UK are becoming more and more dishonest when this lot are the role models!!

To be fair a person is supposed to be innocent until proved guilty. I don't think Cameron did anything wrong.

All Cameron has done is hire the guy. At the interview, I dare bet he didn't come clean about anything illegal he'd done.

Just another `none event` for Miliband to get his face on TV, saying how thing would be different under labour.

And while Miliband is slagging Cameron / NOTW / and Murdoch off, if anyone watched Newsnight the other night, Miliband squired in his seat when asked, why he never mentioned anything to Murdoch when he met him a couple weeks ago. He just carried on blaming the Torries.........

Er many people including Prescott warned Cameron about Coulson back in 2009. He chose not to even listen.

When the Guardian published what tuirned out to be facts about him they were hauled in front tof the IPCC and told to desist from wilfully misleading the public.

Turns out they were right all along and Camneron chose to ignire it in the pursuit of power.

He knew damn well what Coulson was up to, but thought it would be hushed up!

Nice to see yet another sleaze ridden government in power! This is precisely why I didn't waste my time voting!!!

AND if it was Brown or Blair you lot would be all over it like a rash... f**king hypocrites!!!

Not really as the country is basically full of crooks from the top down so no matter how involved he was he would get away with it anyway.

Right because everything which comes out of Prescotts mouth is true and non-biased?

No it isn't. If you want to take the moral highground, you need to not tell untruths.

Why even rail against it then? It's pointless right, the system is rotten and we are helpless?

Really you are too much a drama queen. Our system isn't perfect but it's miles better that most of the world governments, we have a process, a constitution which self corrects.

In the most corrupt systems of government you wouldn't even know about this sort of thing, still less have a public debate about it.

Yes but as unlikely as it may seem he was right this time!

The thing is to me it would be insulting Cameron's intelligence and that of his advisors to think he did not know at least some of the trith about Coulson... I genuinely don't think he or anyone else thought it would come to this.

And where have I defended Millipede??? Nowhere.... been saying for years they are all as bad as each other, but just becuase that is the case doesn't mean we have to accept the least bad does it?

This thread is a prime example of why those in government nowadays spend so much of the time they should be devoting to looking after the best interests of this country (i.e. governing) to covering their own backsides.

The real story here is the illegal hacking of phones, hindering of a live police investigation and bribing police officers for information by some employees of News of the World. Blaming this on the Tories is somewhat of a stretch.

However, best not look a gift horse in the mouth.
I expect governing this place can be somewhat soul-destroying at times.

Quite right, Labour were in power when all of this was actually happening.

Not even Prescot could get enough voice to blow the lid on it.

Yes this was implied by what that Rebekka woman said.

How come Cameron let Clegg meet the Dowler family today rather than doing so himself as was stated would happen?

Busy running the country, perhaps?

.....Just a random guess. I guess speeches are more important than pandering.

It was in the press (sunday) stating Clegg would see them firstly, then milli vanilli and finally Cambo later in the week.
