Explain what? You either know what I mean or you don't. Must be me then.

I've just noticed in the last month or so amongst colleagues, friends and on tv, certain words ending in or have in the middle k or ick are over emphasised. "Like" being the worst offender. Or "bad luck" is now bad lucK etc

No! People who do this don't have the intelligence to even think of that.

It's just emphasising the sound of the feckin word(s), with a "click" to the end of the word with a k in it or at the end of it. I giveup close the thread

I thought it must be an `issue` according to where you do or don`t live cos no one else has a clue what you`re on about!!!

It's where I work, putting your actual location anywhere on the net isn't a good idea.

I'll give the OP a break.. I know what you mean mate. One or two guys at my work have been talking like this for a while. Usually when the "k" is in the last word of a sentence..

Not quite as bad as those who, like... err... so randomly, like... talk up at the end of each sentence.

A real Samite Sam moment for me!

Where have you seen that happening? Sounds like some "smart kid" trying to start up a new style. Just like the prats trying to invent new officespeak!

Because they have the intelligence of a flea and don't know how to articulate or construct a sentance maybe?

+1.... I was like totally, and he was yea like oh my god! ...... I thought the OP was about people putting "k" on the end of words ending in "ing" like supernanny saying "everyfink" or "nuffink" think I caught Gordon Ramsay doing it as well.
