Most of the people on here wouldn't last five minutes on many other forums I've wasted time on over the years. The moderation here is very relaxed, and that's a major reason why I keep coming here. These forums are not only helpful and informative, but sociable and fun. You wouldn't keep going to a pub where everyone was forced to sit quietly with every word monitored by some anally retentive nun on a power trip, so why go on AV Forums, or any other petty over-moderated forum populated by hyper-sensitive eight year olds having a delicate day having lost their dummies. Long live Scoobynet !

...and I noticed immediately after posting that PSL reappeared!!!
And this wasn't a pop at moderation at all - just a kind of reflection on some of the funny ones who had moved on.

DCI was funny in the beginning, but he soon went all soft and changed the character, i lost interest at that point because the character was not funny any more.
Whoever was behind the persona also started up a facebook profile under the same name, and tried to add my missus, she asked me who he was and i had to explain that it was some random from scoobynet who did not want to give out any real details, so he was pretending to be the copper from the TV.
She said he was a weirdo
PSL will never leave, he just has little holidays!

PSL is part of the fabric .... has been since the very first 'Gay Gold Wheel' post way back in June 2000 - that was when it bacame clear that some people take life a tad too serious and a great amount of fun could be extracted from that simple fact.
But, alas, he is no longer a wind-up chappie ..... but a steady, reliable, upright member of the SN Community.

from what I know of the subject, he voiced an opinion, as others have done , but he got 'sacrificed', whereas others (who have said the same ) are still posting .
