Default Peter Wheeler RIP

I am sure this is already posted somewhere - however Peter Wheeler died yesterday at the age of 64.

For those you don't know he presided over TVR when it was at its greatest (and before he sold it to the Russian guy).

RIP Peter. Always loved the sound of an AJP8, which peter helped to develop hence the "P" in the name.

A man who made great cars who stuck to his principles. A sad but fitting tribute has been posted here. RIP.

RIP PW

Always loved his no-nonsense approach to running a company. Under his ownership TVR produced some amazing sports cars. 64 is no age to go.

Not strictly true there....the AJP8 was titled so as it was more or less a copied design from a Japenese V8, so, TVR being TVR simply called it the AJP8.

Anyways.....RIP Peter, you made the madest cars out there inc one of my favourites...the Cerbera 4.5 V8

What a shame.

I owned a white 350i for 5 years and loved it!! There was nothing quite like the sound of the V8 and I still remember scaring my next door neighbours when starting it up in the mornings.

RIP

Sad news indeed and as said 64 is no age.

I though the AJP name was from the 3 guys responsible for it's design.

Al Melling, John Ravenscroft, Peter Wheeler.
