Default Most famous film you never saw

I was sitting on the sofa talking to my wonderful girlfriend, We saw the man next door walking past so I started to hum the music you hear when darth vader enters a room.

My girlfriend said "why are you doing that" I said
"its darth vader, looks like brian doesnt it"
She replied
"whos darth vader?"

Thats right the love of my life, the women I plan to marry has never seen star wars.
She asked if I had ever seen bridget jones, ,I told of course not its gay. But it got me thinking
Whats the most famous film you have never seen.

For me its Bridget jones diary or The great escape.

Youve never seen The Great Escape? Having not seen that is gayer than having watched Bridget Jones IMHO

Probably more like the most popular.

Titantic I would imagine. Both sexes and all ages will probably watch it at some point.

Although to be fair the who his Darth Vader comment should really have been met with extreme scorn.

OK, working on the IMDB top 250 of all time list (funnily enough I was looking at it less than 2 hours ago)

Number 8, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest is the first one I have not seen

Never seen Casablanca either. Depends on how famous you class the film. i.e. going off that list Shawshank Redeption is the best film of all time. I bet theres a few people who still havent seen that but I wouldnt say its the most famous film

Incidentally - the Imperial March (Darth music) sounds astonishing when played live by a full orchestra. Really makes the floor shake.

It used to be 'Titanic' but I finally caved in and watched it last year, I now know why I never bothered before

I suppose the big one I've never seen now is 'Forrest Gump'.

Another for Titanic. If it's over hyped that can be enough to put me off.

Are you marrying my girlfriend

She has hardly seen any films (apart from utter tripe ) and everytime I mention a classic or similar she just has that blank look on her face
I am educating her though

Me, I have seen just about everything going though I have to admit Casblanca , one flew over ... and Gone with the wind are omissions

I have seen Convoy, though it's been a while. Love the t-shirt picture, was looking at that one as per the site mentioned on the other thread.

The Exorcist (for which I'm glad )
The Ring
Brokeback Mountain
Saving Private Ryan
Life Of Brian (for which I'm ALSO glad...I don't like the blasphemous humour )

...I'm sure there's more...but these are the main ones
