Default C-charge extension to be scrapped

BBC NEWS | England | London | C-charge extension to be scrapped

Love this bit from Labour...

"against the interest of Londoners".

Er no 87% of businesses and 67% of people wanted it lifted!!!!

This party is so deluded and so far out of touch with what the public want its untrue.

Hey you need this charge because its beneficial 'cos we said so!

Not at all. The people asked to express their opinion stated collectively that they wanted to scrap the zone. That's what democracy is.

Boris strikes again.

Unlike the original consultation which was completely ignored. Which is what I would expect to happen in Manchester too.

It was a light hearted dig at how Porsche and Mercedes paid for his campaign and how their products tend to sell well in the West of London...

Les, are you saying your comment wasn't a bit useless?

Did they ?? I must confess I have no idea who the funders of the campaigns were, but thought Porsche had paid for the consultation and protest about the rise to £25.

Its actually refreshing to know that he was the extension as wrong, due to the impact it had (not being as positive for the traffic as first sold) and it being against the outcome of the consultation.
Not sure if Boris can keep up this trend of keeping his word, but I sure hope so
