I only knew BEP from on here. He was always so friendly, funny and helpful.

I remember reading his comments on Squaresy's specialist thread... going back to just December 2007, and he put that 'it may return but that he had learnt to deal with it, and qe sera sera..' he was so supportive in his advice to everyone on that thread.. what a brave, and wonderful guy.

My thoughts are sympathies are with his family at this sad time.

RIP Ant.

Really sad to hear this. I saw his posts announcing his illness on the other cancer thread but couldn't bear to follow it through. My best wishes go to his family.

Unhappy

I didn't know him but that doesn't detract from the sense of shock.
40!!! Scary when you think about it.

Sympathy to the family and friends.

Note to self to live each day to the full

Lesley, I have linked this thread to the specialist thread, as I know many people keep track of everyone on there, and might like to add condolences to Ant's family here.

Very Sad news. His username always stood out on here as he seemed a decent bloke which I'm sure he was. Life is short and unfortunately cheap it seems. He'll be missed.

One of the people on here that always had my respect and was a genuine nice guy. I never personally met him but had conversation with him on threads etc.
My thoughts truly go out to all his family and friends

Wow, can't believe it. A true character who will be sadly missed.

Condolences to the family and friends. It's not so often that you come across a true gent which is always the opinion I had. A great loss to SN let alone his family.

Any chance of getting one of those donation funds set up like there was for Richard Hammond after his crash?

RIP Ant, like many others only came across him in here, always polite and genuine, I had no idea he was ill, only 1 minute before I came on SN I heard a work mate has had a bad heart attack, not a good start to the weekend

My thouights go to his wife, son and family.

My God!!

Like others, I knew Ant via Scoobynet and the York Scoobs. I'm shocked at this tragic news.

My heartfelt sympathy to his wfe and family.

And...only 40....that's younger than me. Just shows, you never know what's around the corner for you.

I don't know him however i always saw him about and his username always made me smirk, always a shame to see someone so young leave us, even more so when he was a regular.

Hope they have scoobies where you are bud.
