If convicted no doubt a 2 year sentence, out in one, xbox, 3-square meals, tv, pool tables, like minded individuals all round and gym facilities

If I ran the show it would be 200 year sentence, out in 150 if he's good (and survives) and for that time he'd have a small concrete room, single bed, sink, ****ter, 1h exercise a day and 3 bog basic meals passed to him through a slot in the door. 365 days a year for life. No socializing, no tv, no playstation, no fancy gyms and crucially, no fvcking human rights, he gave that up when he destroyed a life.

 

Mine's even simpler, a rope and a short drop.

 

He'll get a few years in prison then released on 'good behaviour' or sent to an open prison.
I personally think they should identify the assailant.

I blame the courts simple as that.
If we were more like America where a life sentence means life then
1. people might think twice before commiting a crime.
2. those given life would play no more part in society.
I watched Louis Theroux's show filmed in an American prison and there was a guy in there who commited robberies with torture etc and if i recall his sentence totalled 500 years, now thats justice. I couldn't care less what conditions are like inside for them, the worse the better.

Ive lived in the Midlands of England for the last 12 years, and the only crime against me from the public I can say is my car being keyed once. Doesnt mean its the best place on earth to live. My nieghbour hasnt had anything bad happy from my knowledge, doesnt mean its the best place in England to live. Everywhere has its scum/drunken idiots/prats trying to be clever. Some places are, admittedly worse than others. Overall though, the country isnt in a bad state, the worse thing about the place is the justice system. The people who should be punished are not done harshly enough IMO. Other than that the country is doing fairly well as a whole IMO

 

here here - i work in henley on thames and live 10 mins from there.....wouldnt change it for the world and belive my kids are better off here than anywhere else - if they weren't i'd up and move tommorow.
