UK Quality of Life slides....
36 reasons to say goodbye to Britain - and one to say bonjour to fabulous France | the Daily Mail
We are ranked no 37, behind countries like Panama, Bulgaria etc etc - like the article says its no wonder ever-increasing numbers are leaving the UK!
I wonder what position we'll slide to after the economy-built-on-debt collapses
Thanks again Labour - they've really a left a legacy

Such rankings are always a pretty crude measure of what's its like to live in those countries. The quality of life can vary hugely within even a single country. France rates as No. 1 yet and France has high unemployment rates and hundreds of thousands of young French have moved to the UK for work. What quality of life if you are unemployed in France?
Take with pinch of salt.

It's NL fault is it?
THAT illustrates EXACTLY what is wrong with the UK .... NO-ONE wants to take responsibility for what happens to THEM!!
Always looking for someone else to blame
The report also states that the UK came out VERY high on economy and social freedoms .... the things that the Government IS responsible for!!
So, lets have LESS of these bashing NL threads - and get off your **** and do something for your bloody self!!

i just hate to hear people slaggin the place off .
like "a" or "b" or "c" is so much better place to live cos they drink wine with their meal or the cost of living is so much cheaper.
i laugh my head off at those "place in the sun" type people
who tell you the cost of living is so much better in tenerife etc - they neglect to mention its so much cheaper becuase of the lack of street lighting , or the paths that are built out of those tiny tiles, and the kerb stones are frequently missing.
its the same when you watch these older couples rebuild a wrecked barn in france with the aim to live in it.
have you tried gettin a builder round ere never mind in france!
could you be arsed with all that when your a couple of years of retirement, i couldnt thats for sure.
it has its bad bits thats for sure but i wouldnt want to go anywhere else thats for sure

Theres a program on during the week, about moving to Australia, 20 families over 4 weeks go and see what life will be like over there with their skills.
It makes me laugh how some of the families really want to go to Australia and work in one particular place such as Sydney (pick the most expensive city why don't you!!). Now the majority of people have never been there before and yet want to go and have a life there, surely they should spend a bit of time there before deciding to move over there for good?

So many on here complain about NL taking money off them in taxes ... too much they say.
Then they demand better hospitals, better schools, better roads, better policing .... do they think it comes for FREE??
Then they moan if the Police stop them breaking the law by speeding - but demand more bobbys, more arrests, more jails, tougher sentencing
Truth is, they refuse to get off their ***** and improve their neighbourhoods, they refuse to pay more taxes to fund what they want ..... no, it's ALWAYS someone elses job, someone else fault, someone else to blame for their own failures in life.
They are PATHETIC - if you don't like the UK - **** OFF!! But, being the type of losers you are, you will STILL be here in 25 years time STILL moaning and still blaming someone else for your empty little life!!

It is a problem affecting a lot of big economy countries that are being led by inept governments.......but I guess we are all to blame seeing they were elected by the people!!
Don't moan about the UK you should see some other countries in Europe, where I live I have to pay massive taxes, pay for hospitals, schools, highways, and the social security is down the drain.
Thank the EU, and these stupid politicians, but mostly like I said blame ourselves!

Schools are falling apart

keep kidding yourselves you have it so good in England.
I'm planning to emigrate within 2 years - have enough awareness to see that this country is rooting inside out. Quality of life is certainly higher elsewhere! I don't want to be around living in the aftermath of New Labours projects and gone wrong experiments thanks. In a globalised economy I am free to withdraw my labour and take it elsewhere!
England is not the be all and end all, the pinnacle of human civalisation, the country that get's it right I am afraid... Give it another 10-20 years tops and this place will be half way to hell - mark my words.
Time to find my own better life.

Sad isn't it. People just cannot come to terms with the facts. Good I say - let them stew in their delusion that life in the UK is great. they've clearly never had an education. Just how New Labour likes it.
I've had my eye on France for a while now. The quality of life and value for money there is amazingly good. It's good to see my opinion as backed up from another source by some empirical research.
As I'm sure I've said already, I am just waiting for the right property to appear (and there are many, many contenders) and I shall be off from the immigrant infested NL police state to live the dream.
And yes, I will shut the door behind me.

Things have to be said.
Views exchanged, otherwise things will never get better anywhere.
Being very critical does not help, and there might be some quite valid, and good opinions on this topic.
