My vote for best rally sim goes to Rally Championship 2000 by Actualize.
Or if you want the more arcadey feel then Colin McRae 2.
The sequel for RC2 is about due but sadley they've gone down the more arcadey route to
Strangley, I here that CM3 will be more sim like with team management in there also.

Rally Masters!!!
Its not well known
Its been out for a couple of years
It runs like a DREAM on any PII 450 or higher.
It was the 1st to include the special cross-over tracks from the official Rally Masters series. CMR2 had this much later.
Go and get it on budget label for a tenner!

My recommendation would be
PS2 - Now £199
Steering Wheel
CMR2
WRC2001 ( release this month )
GT3
Stay away from PC after using them all day ( I realise you don't use them all that much though
)

Been thinking about the PS2 thing - but want to wait to see how these new boxes stack up (pun intended).

Rally Trophy - new game to be released around xmas with cars from late 60's & 70's. Best physics so far in a rally game (they've just released a demo) - very GPL'ish
