Buying a phone, then it gets barred! Advice needed please!!!
Morning folks!
I bought a 2nd hand (altho unused) phone in good will a few months ago from a forum user (not on here). I paid the going rate, and sent a cheque for the full amount!
To cut a long story short, 7 weeks after my cheque cleared the phone arrived! Serious lack of communication from the seller throughout, and it wasnt until i sent him a letter threatening legal action that it actually arrived!
Anyway, after 7 weeks I didnt need/want the phone so i sold it on eBay!
The person I sold it too now says it been barred, and Im pretty confident that the original owner has reported it lost/stolen and claimed on his insurance for a new on! insurance scam!
Blatent case of FRAUD!!!!! Can any advise on what I can do from here? I'm not letting this ***** get away with it after months of hassle he's caused me and loss of money!
Do i need to ring the police or the network provider? and would you say that im gonna end up loosing out on waht I paid for the phone? Cos I really cant afford to be loosing nearly £200 just before xmas!
Cheers for any advice
